21/11/2016 14:57 | Who is pd? Who is mh? What is the point of this co. How many of you peeps are ex employees? | neverforget
21/11/2016 12:08 | Someone needs to approach MH, he was responsible for managing the business to achieve the highest turnover and profit in the history of Havelock. Get him onboard as a consultant or non-exec director. We really need some help now!!!!!! | goodoldays
21/11/2016 11:53 | MH is now back in the UK. | cookpeter1958
21/11/2016 08:49 | Goodoldays MH was shown the door just after the start of the recession, I never understood why as GJ took over. That was the start of the decline. My understanding is MH is working abroad at present. | truthful tommy2
21/11/2016 08:38 | The company needs someone on board like MH when he was there the delivery teams where under control and the clients were well managed and made to feel important and listened to. Why did he leave and where is he now???? | goodoldays
20/11/2016 18:56 | It's about time the Chairman took responsibility for the board and made them accountable. What was the Chairman thinking about appointing a QS to run a company like Havelock Europa?.....I mean, you just wouldn't do that. There is an obvious timeline for things going from bad to worse. People losing their jobs is sad. | cannyman1
19/11/2016 13:31 | I remember when employees used to be proud of working for Havelock, good clients, repeat business and strong management. Employees now seem to be disalusioned, I put this down to poor management who do not understand the business. As long as they earn a salary that is their only interest. | goodoldays
18/11/2016 17:55 | Well another week and well another week of nothingness. What is the point of this company? | neverforget
18/11/2016 14:32 | Do you know how long it takes to hang a door? | the big fella
18/11/2016 14:22 | I dont understand why there is a general attack on the project management since I have been there it seems that sales management is totally useless. Can anyone name any major projects or accounts that either DF or AK have brought in? I would be embarrassed to hold the title sales director with that track record | savvysurveyor
15/11/2016 10:26 | I suspect there was some buying in the background this morning - maybe we'll see a late reported buy later. After the modest 15k trade, the online bid and offer both dropped to 8.5p but not for very long. | gleach23
11/11/2016 17:27 | Truthful Tommy, it needs somebody in control that understands both the sales and delivery function of an interiors company, it is a long time since this has been the case. Unless things change very soon there will be no way back for Havelock. I have held shares in this company for a number of years, and I like you despair at the lack of action being taken to rectify the situation. | goodoldays
11/11/2016 14:59 | goodoldays Agree. Butt there has never been co-ordination or support between any departments in the Havelock structure. GJ,AF,JG design,JG QS,RW estimating, only look after there own personal interests. Thats half the problem. The problem in projects has been going on for some years its not just happend over night. The employment of some sub standard PMs who dont even know how long it takes to hang a door. Never mind the H&S at work act. The loss of major accounts M&S, Co-op, House of Fraser, Boots, Tesco,Virgin, TSB, RBS,Lloyds. Pluss the biggest commercial loss at the AVIVA stadium Dublin. All under GJ leadership of the project department. | truthful tommy2
11/11/2016 05:26 | Do you not think it is the line manager Af GJ that is to blame? Are the project teams failing due to their part, of are other parts of the business still not being supportive, i.e. MANUFACTURING??? | goodoldays
10/11/2016 14:04 | Petbar GJ has repeatedly failed to understand the clients requirements. At ever part or function of any project. From start to completion. It is true other departments need overhauling / restructuring. But delivery is the face what the client gets and has to live with. Incompetent, Inept, lacks understanding of the situation. It is ridiculous that debate takes place, get rid, undertake a proper restructuring, Ritchie before its to late. As Havelock go nearer to the ABYSS. | truthful tommy2
10/11/2016 10:57 | I see that a lot of the blame appears to be aimed at the client delivery teams under GJ, why no mention of the sales function and there ability, or not, to go after and win new contracts and frameworks at a decent margin? Just a thought that's all? | petbar
09/11/2016 07:16 | Nearly 60 people have lost their jobs after Yorkshire-based construction firm Management Cubed went into administration. Joint administrators from RSM Restructuring Advisory were appointed on 4 November after the contractor incurred significant losses on two major contracts. Management Cubed was a principal contractor managing and co-ordinating construction and fit-out works across a number of sectors, including retail, education and health. RSM said the two losses have only recently come to light and the directors of the contractor felt the company could not continue to trade without potentially worsening the position for creditors. Forty-two employees were made immediately redundant and their claims are being dealt with by the Redundancy Payments Service. | neverforget
08/11/2016 09:07 | Very sad that people are losing their jobs. This company's a mess. | capricious71
08/11/2016 08:11 | Not sure if the 10k's were AB unloading jbarker but there was a similar trade in early October of 130k @ 8p. The last notification we had of AB's holding was back in June when he went below 18% which was a near 7m holding. Maybe we'll get another soon? | gleach23
08/11/2016 07:56 | goodoldays, neverforg This type of over the top management structure is in every department in Havelock. QS, Buying, Design, Estimating. There has been 3 lots of redundancies 2 in 2015 and 1 that has been just announced. Thats 155 people since August 2015. The loss of major accounts Lloyds, TSB, Virgin, RBS, to name just a few. The loss of major accounts, redundancies, unhappy clients the latest being HB, demoralised workforce, does not lie and tells you the problem. | truthful tommy2
07/11/2016 20:22 | Odd trade that, is this along with the 10K's AB unloading? | jbarker5555
07/11/2016 13:39 | oops...40k traded @ 8p online quotes now down to 9p to buy and sell but one can only sell 1500 shares | gleach23
07/11/2016 03:56 | Styles & Wood are Management Contractors with the overheads aligned to this, that is why the are always at a competitive advantage when tendering against Havelock. Why would they consider taking on Havelock with their excessive manufacturing overheads and associated risks!!!!! | goodoldays
06/11/2016 21:02 | Never going to happen. Why would style even contemplate it? They win every time they pitch against havelock. When is the incompetent chairman going to go? Agre with sentiment if managers are not delivering then time to go. Maybe Ritchie and Kennedy should be looking over their shoulders too. Unfortunately same old same old from Hve. Might be why directs have bought sweet fa shares. | neverforget |
