Revenue down, debt increase, pension deficit, ERP system not fully up and running.
But opening a new design office in London ?. The design office in Kirckaldy is not profitable and has not been for some years. Negative statement very poor.

Ne'er mind Hew. What about the execs? Where are they with erp? How much money invested? Where are benefits? Always negative with the statement. Compare & contrast with STY.

Come on Hew, you know it makes sense..........just a small director's purchase would do.

Well at first glance they seem to have made encouraging progress in mitigating the loss of the Lloyds contract

Half Year Report imminent

Yes a 50k buy prompted a curious flurry of trades - a modest one of which was mine for old times' sake, tempted in for a punt after watching for weeks. Probably end in tears :)

SW yesterday announced a new frame work agreement with a leading Banking Group.
Where is Havelocks announcement. What the hell is happening with Havelock.
At one time Havelock were one of the leading Banks high st fitout contractor.

When SW Lloyds allocation was reduced the first thing SW did was to remove the director management level. When Havelock lost the account the first thing the director of the project department did. Was to restructure the department (re-name peoples job titles)
but consolidate her own position. All the other departments followed suite.
That is the problem as previous comments, a reward for failure.

I bailed out of HVE a while back but was invested in it so long I did feel some attachment. I always got the impression it's a hard working staff with low morale because of poor management.

STW seems to be thriving. I hope HVE can turn things around.

Not Hew hes had his day. Havelock need new blood people with fresh ideas who understand the market, not afraid to make difficult decisions. Forward thinking.
At present you have a level of management director department, that only look after themselves, departments that work independent of each other. Due to remuneration system that pays massive bonuses to individuals. The complete structure in Havelock needs to change departments need to be interrogated and work together. This can be done with the correct KPI system being monitored and implemented.
The complete departmental director level needs to be removed, and replaced with new blood. Looking at other shop fitting companies in the same position as Havelock they removed this level of management some 18 months ago.
Havelock have survived when they had the Lloyds account it masked problems it had with schools, health care, hotels,Boots, not having the Lloyds accounts has become a problem.
Loosing as many major accounts as Havelock have is worrying to say the least, but keeping the directors who have been responsible for that loss is bordering on madness.

One day there will be something good to say but the company has to start delivering first. In the meantime stunned silence from our major shareholder. Also the quality of chairman will not be very high after all who wants to take over a company who has performed so badly?
