01/9/2004 15:35 | Nice little purchase gone through, thought that may have moved things along just a little.......... A very frustrating stock do you not think ? | santangello
23/8/2004 15:44 | The results date is mid september isn't it? All the other recruitment companies have posted good results, I see no reason why HTP especially after their bullish statement in july can't do the same, then the share price will surely motor north. | daunker
23/8/2004 12:40 | bit more of a tick up :-) Market is everso weak tho it semms. CR | cockneyrebel
20/8/2004 11:33 | Was wondering the same - NRG tipped in IC - these too? I suspect it's just the two 5K buys - doesn't take much to move this up or down. CR | cockneyrebel
20/8/2004 08:44 | Up 3p on no volume, what's going on? Does anyone know if HTP has been tipped anywhere? Not complaining though 8-)................. | gd150772
11/8/2004 12:07 | fozzie, i think Liam Miller is around 23, not 19 - he had injury problems at Celtic which delayed his breakthrough into the team until he was in his twenties. a neat tidy player but not much more imho. | teapreacher
10/8/2004 07:18 | It is CR, although we do have some youngsters of our own you know. Howard (23) Brown (23) Ferdinand (24) Miller (19) Fletcher (19) Ronaldo (19) Smith (23) Eagles (18) Rooney........ Foz. | fozzie
09/8/2004 16:37 | Always the way, very illiquid. I've learned to live with it now and come to the conclusion that no mater how much you talk about this one it does no good - in fact whenever I post on this it seems to fall - hope that isn't an omen - safe for me to speak after the close I hope. I'll wait for the results to do the speaking. CR | cockneyrebel
09/8/2004 16:31 | I agree, possibly a delayed trade. Question is...why would you bail out of such a solid performing, proven company. I noticed someone took the opportunity to add today. If no announcement or delayed sell, I will certainly try and catch the falling knife and add at these levels. | santangello
09/8/2004 16:27 | Almost 10% wiped out today and on a pathetic turnover of only 11,500 shares traded. Unbelievable! Foz. | fozzie
02/8/2004 12:13 | agreed, needs a few results and statements to come out and the sector will roll imo. CR | cockneyrebel
02/8/2004 12:05 | Nice statement from HVN bodes well for the sector, here's Evolution Beeson Gregory's take on it: Cyclical improvement continues H1 has seen a steady upward turning of the cycle for Harvey Nash across all its regions. The pace of recovery is proving stronger than we had earlier anticipated. We are upgrading our estimates. Harvey Nash has clearly had a storming H1, as cyclical trends have strengthened, presaging further progress going forward. Most encouragingly HVN is reporting improving trading conditions and profitability in continental Europe May's AGM statement commented that conditions were stable. In addition to rising numbers of IT contractors out at clients, there are also the first signs of improved margins. We assume that this is a function of the withdrawal and downscaling of competition during the downturn, which will constrict supply as conditions improve. In the UK, improved profitability is being driven by rising returns from the search business and some improved mix in the IT resourcing business, against a market backdrop of margins remaining constrained. The US has seen the same strong trends continue as reported earlier. We are raising our PTP estimate for this year to £3.5m from £2.0m and EPS to 5.1p from 3.1p. For next year our PTP goes to £4.6m from £3.4m and EPS to 6.3p from 5.3p (the slower growth in EPS than PTP from a rising tax rate as losses are exhausted more quickly than). On these revised estimates the valuation is looking much less demanding and we see no reason why the price can't continue to make progress after the inevitable jump at this morning's opening. laf ;-) | lafiamma
27/7/2004 19:18 | Didn't realise there had been posts on this thread, sorry Elmfield. Nope, I'm out of SGI but yes I still hold WOC big time and keep adding. I've got my Hat Pin sat in my portfolio of sleepers. Came to the conclusion that punters are probably not going to buy until the results if they didn't buy on the trading statement. Thought I'keep pretty quiet about them and add more jusy before the results perhaps. NRG is the nearest recruiter to report for me, apart from a tiny holding in Quantica. Market is carp at the moment isn't it. CR | cockneyrebel
27/7/2004 18:29 | Hiya Teal, How's is going, have you built up your portfolio yet or still just got a bit of play money in to see how it goes? laf :-) | lafiamma
27/7/2004 17:57 | Still holding on tight :) hi laf btw. it's me that Teal fella, | daunker
23/7/2004 09:39 | Dont be too friendly, 150 to start with at least :o) | cambium
23/7/2004 09:38 | Nice! Thanks 150772, can I call you 1? laf ;-) | lafiamma
23/7/2004 09:36 | Laf....Here's what they said. When we recommended buying Hatpins shares at 57p (7 may 2004) It was because conditions appeared to be improving in the recruitment sector. And this is still the case. The group says that the UK has had an exceptional start to the year, while its US and Hong Kong businesses have performed well. Now it expects results for the first six months 0f 2004 will be significantly ahead of the same period last year. Hatpin remains on the lookout for acquistions and geographical expasion can also be expected. At 59p, the shares are still attractive as the company remains in a strong position to keep on growing. Buy. | 150772
23/7/2004 08:27 | Got another mention in the IC - unfortunately I don't know what they said! laf ;-) | lafiamma
14/7/2004 07:47 | cr: are you still in sgi,woc? | elmfield |
