An excellent set of figures diku and a progressive dividend policy with debt falling and talk of aquisitions. Not put of by equity issue if it adds value.

I think they are going to need to raise some money from somewhere unless they restructure their earn out payments due this year.I doubt they would be able to use debt so i am expecting an equity issue which leaves a cloud over buying the shares, particularly in view of the lack of liquidity.

Hasgrove on the up
Created:27 April 2010Written by:Nigel Bolitho
Marketing service group Hasgrove has reorganised its business into two divisions: Digital and Communications (DAS) Services and Public Affairs and Strategic Communications (PAS). It's a sensible move although even after allowing for such buzz phrases as 'pipeline evolution' it's clear that the force is with DAS and its various internet and e-commerce services.
Last year smaller PAS clients were cutting back on retainers which when combined with higher office costs and a higher wage bill in Belgium led to a 77 per cent fall in operating profits to £0.4m on flat revenue of £13.2m. As a result DAS's share of group operating profits jumped from 63 to 80 per cent and it's likely to continue to dominate.

The latest results include a £1m exceptional charge including £500,000 related to redundancies (saving an estimated £1m a year) and £350,000 for an office move. For a company which expanded through acquisitions before harsh trading set in, the key end-of-year balance sheet figure (at least in its case) is trade receivables of £8.6m. They are down from £11.5m a year earlier but still include earn-outs of £3.7m of which £2.7m could be payable in cash over the next four years.

Broker KBC Peel Hunt expects adjusted pre-tax profits to advance to £4m this year (2009: £2.68m/9p).

BuyThe shares trade on a hefty discount to net asset value and on a modest 7 times last year's adjusted EPS which makes them a lowly-rated recovery buy.

Results as expected with the dividend held. Looks to me that these are already in recovery with the outlook statement pretty bullish. Will add more.

Results on the 15th so next Thursday should let a little light in. Can only see trading getting better but then i've been wrong before. This seems to be very thinly traded so now's the time to buy.

Think the header explains most of it but don't expect these results to be great it's the new contracts and forward look that will follow in the next interims that will raise the shares.

On a pe of under 4 and trading improving with some significant new deals the share shouldn't sit at these levels too long.

Hope so just shows how undervalued these are as every trade pushes us up. Should hit 80p easily when the next news hit the market. I believe trading is back on track and so do the directors.
