Interesting that a broker buy note had to be released, it shows the company were concerned about the falling share price.

The only problem being it allows the sellers some good liquidity to sell into, and then often the price continues downwards after the buy note buying dries up.

Not necessarily as positive as it first appears.

I don't believe that there will ever be a genuine potash or stonemeal mine on the beautiful Serra do Maxixe ridge. It just doesn't make sense. It's an idilic plot with trees that are government protected, a medical doctor owning the plot next door. I think this company is very much mistaken if they think they have a genuine product and a genuine mine on such a scale. yp raises a very valid concern about the dirt track but anyway this is a picturesque beauty spot and certainly not a place for a 500,000 ton p/a open-pit mine imv. yp also raises the point that permits expire next month. Even so, I still don't believe that maximus will ever get a proper full mining license. Out of the question, IMO - ATB

Harvest Minerals Ltd’s (LON:HMI) house broker Beaufort Securities is earning its corn with a bullish update and a price target of 32p or three times current market value.

The core of the valuation is the Arapua licence, where this week the Brazil-focused fertiliser group substantially upgraded its Maximus prospect.

There was a 37% increase to the high grade tonnage to 1.2mt within a 1380% overall rise.

Beaufort adds that from here the share price performance should follow "field trial progress at Arapua, new customer wins, testwork results, stonemeal certification and first sales".

“Test work thus far and the views of Harvest’s agronomist give us confidence that the KPFértil product will be saleable at or around US$60/t,” said the broker, which has a buy rating.”

Beaufort sees the mine developing in two stages to a 500,000 tonne annually operation, capex of US$1.0m, total mine operating costs of $7/t and a conservative long-term sales price of $55/t.

For a mine life to 2028 that gives a net present value [future cash flows] estimate of US$68mln, to which the broker has applied a 40% risk factor discount.

The broker also notes that Harvest based its latest resource estimate on only 6.7% of the area identified through mapping as Kamafugite and only from the upper weathered zone.

Extrapolating from the last upgrade would push the mine life out to 40 years.

Beaufort attributed US$12.5mln for the smaller potash project and added that worries over the cash position are overdone.

Beaufort expects Harvest to have cash of around A$0.7mln at the end of this year before income from any sales of its KPfertil direct application fertiliser product.

That compares with A$1.5mln at the end of December a sum that has since been bolstered by an A$1.57mln warrant issue.

Shares rose 17% today to 13.2p.

Congrats on the gains here. I think this is an excellent selling opportunity for shareholders, and an excellent opportunity for the company to do a placing. Obviously 12 months cash required with final results this year. IMO - ATB

I think best to ask such questions to see if it is worth investing. just my own questions, answers and opinions along same lines :

Has RV2 been liquidated?
very much so

Will loaders damage the dirt track particularly in wet weather ?
very much so

Is the product completely worthless?
don't know

Will a proper environmental permit be required to get a full mining permit?
Very much so

How long will that process take?
very much forever so

Are the trees on St Bartholomew farm mostly government protected
Very much so

Will there be $2.7m in revenue by the end of June this year

thanks - here are some of my agm Qs that require same options

does the mine look a bit like a farm?
Are you telling the whole truth about the company RV2?
Is there a genuine demand for experimental stonemeal?
Is a mud track on a hill adequate for the loaders

Does YP firmly agree with the Proactive article statements below?

'The development work at Arapua is done'

'We’ve put in all the infrastructure'

'we are ready to produce between 400,000 and 500,000 tonnes of product per year'

'other local farmers and plantation owners are likely to come in as buyers'

'what Veloso is testing is not whether the product works'

I could be wrong. Perhaps they will dig down a bit to the hard rock, and then blast 500,000 tons a year out of the ground when the neighbours are out working. How are the animals on the farm next door going to feel about all this. Are they sheep ?

Is there enough room to dig out 500,000 tons a year on the farm? It's a tranquil plot owned by the environmental engineer, with breathtaking views, and now with beautifully graded land next to the doctor's plot. The tress are government protectected to the north. So personally, I don't think there's a cat in hells chance of there ever being commercial mining on that scale down on the farm. Especially if there's only one digger.

When it dropped to 11.25p I could not get a quote. There was 25k max at 11.5p just now so the mm's are hardly awash with stock so this dip is more a shake than a sell off.
love it
