Good interview with Brian McMaster about Mapa, sales targets etc. All very reassuring and indicative that MAPA is not the be all and end all.

The security canary will probably be there to try to detect any whiffs of fertiliser. We could do with news on MAPA imo. some sort of update at least?

Lifeline. KOFertil is being bought not to be a fertiliser or a remineraliser. It’s being bought because it makes plants grow and produce higher yields at a fraction of the cost of the alternative. Coffee growers receive barely enough money to break even. The government in Brazil have recently had to try to impose a minimum price but short selling in the city has dropped prices further. KP Fertil represents a lifeline to growers, particularly the smaller farms

Looks like the rockdust is being put to good use improving the track, as you can see in the latest satellite image? So that would be good news if the dust is being used to improve access. The mine to the north still looks deserted to me though

brooko19,

You see what I mean about the price after the promotion now?

It gets an instant boost, rises on open so peeps cannot buy before the start of the rise, then a gradual retrace once the promotion is done.

I trust the guys placing the orders and buying the products they understand. Not some self proclaimed bb expert. Every bb has an expert who knows better than everyone else.

Chipperfrd,

Interesting method, and good that you have found something that works for you, and is clearly profitable, enabling you to build up a free holding, that's the way to go, IMO.

JN,

Only time and sales will tell. As it happens I am not invested at the moment but may look to buy back in if I can get what I believe to be a fair price.

JakNif,

I didn't say read it, I said listen to it. There is a recorded interview with HMI, it's about 10 mins long. Here is the link again:

Andy/Brooko19,

Interesting comments about share movements!

I actually use a method (for UK-listed stocks) where I rely on the market volatility in order to gradually build up free-carried holdings.

Just using the following data from HMI over c. 13 months provides clear evidence of how this can work if buy/sell thresholds are set at levels appropriate for the target stock.

ZIG-ZAG Performance LOW HIGH CHANGE (%)22/06/2017 25/09/2017 +78%04/10/2017 -20% 09/10/2017 +25%17/10/2017 -16% 29/11/2017 +57%08/12/2017 -17% 12/12/2017 +16%11/01/2018 -15% 18/01/2018 +33%28/02/2018 -24% 09/03/2018 +63%15/03/2018 -15% 22/03/2018 +17%11/04/2018 -22% 19/04/2018 +15%10/05/2018 -15% 14/05/2018 +29%

The above are based on closing prices at Low/High turning points.

For my own accounting I certainly have to include bid/offer spreads and brokerage charges. The method is probably a bit too slow for many punters but I find it helps with decision making and has produced good results.
