20/1/2010 13:28 | I canot say either way. | whiters
20/1/2010 13:13 | Whiters, do you have anything substantive to tell ? But unwilling to divulge ? | cyberpost
20/1/2010 13:12 | Not just now i think. Let's see what happens between now and the 2nd Feb! | whiters
20/1/2010 12:17 | Whiters - would welcome your further views / comment concerning the bid? | phantom10
20/1/2010 10:29 | Two 'weighty' buys have been responsible for nudging the price up this morning. Even if the 69p bid proves successful, a 4p gain over a couple of months on a 65p outlay is a juicy return when compared to the abysmal interest returns available from banks/building societies presently. If the bid approach lapses, however, all bets are off though! | ansc

20/1/2010 09:18 | eh m es mx Trying to ramp this one up are ya! "In principle" does not mean anything its just another way of saying probably therefore not a done deal Agree with Whiters who has been around on this board for a long time - its far from done - there appears to be lots of things that need to happen to make this a done deal | phantom10
20/1/2010 08:51 | [The Board of Delta Controls Limited ("Delta Controls") is pleased to announce that it has reached agreement in principle with the board of Hartest Holdings Plc ("Hartest Holdings") with a view to making a cash offer ... ] I agree with Whiters. With a three man Board of Directors, if the two 'independent' directors voted in favour of the possible offer, it doesn't matter how PG's man voted; there's no mention of Board unanimity in that announcement. Any guesses needed as to the identity of eh m es mx? | ansc
19/1/2010 23:02 | Lets wait and see. | whiters
19/1/2010 22:42 | Whiters, wow very analytical. | eh m es mx
19/1/2010 12:13 | So 1st February is the deadline for Delta to make the firm offer ? | cyberpost
19/1/2010 12:03 | Sure Mole - how do you know | phantom10
19/1/2010 10:44 | It's a done deal guys...the board have accepted the offer! | moleinahole
15/1/2010 08:26 | Your last line confuses me? Do you think it will go higher or bid will fail? By going long they have a view that 69p minimum will happen, therefore earning a margin of some 4p on 65p 7% in maybe a month or so? View please. Snow | snowman10
15/1/2010 08:16 | I missed reading the RNS on 13th regarding Rule 8.3 - Rathbone Bros have gone 'long' for 126,635 shares (1.47%); could explain why the share price crept up yesterday in the face of a few smallish 'sales' during the last couple of days. A further indication that others think the indicative bid approach is not a 'done deal'? | ansc
14/1/2010 08:20 | The company is worth whats someone will pay. To go back to the 20`s and 30`s would be hard. Guess we have a choice and take the 62.5p in the market or sit tight. Time frame anyone if this full bid does come? Snow | snowman10
13/1/2010 20:51 | This comment from ansc is pertinent. PG is his own man however, and has been in HTH quite some time. If he thinks, now that the company appears to be coming good, that there's more money to be made with the company staying independent then it's far from being a 'done deal'. I repeat what I said earlier this year in April I think and again last November And If PG believes and I think he does, that HTH has turned the corner and is doing very well, he will hold out for his pound of flesh. I do know that he feels the company is worth £1+ a share on break up; so yet again Mexican stand off. The directors including Mr. Holmström (who incidentally might be PGs man but he is also very much his own man.) can vote which ever way, but the final decision is in Sweden with PG. PG will not buy the company that's not his way, he will wait until he gets what he considers to be the right price. However I would argue that what is good for PG is good for us and the rest of the minority share holders in the long term. After all he only wants to get the maximum value for his holding. Don't we all! The dichotomy is that some of us have been here for a long long time and feel that we could do better things with our cash TODAY not in two years time. But at what discount? | whiters
13/1/2010 14:09 | That guy will do as PG instructs but, even if he votes against accepting Delta's 69p indicative offer, he can be outvoted by the other directors. PG is his own man however, and has been in HTH quite some time. If he thinks, now that the company appears to be coming good, that there's more money to be made with the company staying independent then it's far from being a 'done deal'. | ansc
13/1/2010 12:06 | I gues PG could have pounced back in April if he wanted it that badly - and you're right he has a guy on the board... | zcaprd7
13/1/2010 08:06 | PG has a man on the board so i think its a done deal. Antone have an idea on timing now? How long may/will this take if it goes through? snow | snowman10
12/1/2010 11:51 | Sorry PGs holding price is 72p aprox but lets hope he accepts this as I feel for myself anyway its a fair offer at this time. He was holding out for upwards of 80p however in this market 69p seems fair. | whiters
12/1/2010 11:16 | I think PG has an average price of around 50-55p? So it should be enough to convince him? Unless he wants to offer more? | zcaprd7 |
