01/12/2009 17:19 | I agree entirely with ansc. However after some 18 years I'm bored with the ups and downs of Hartest and feel for me its time to put the old horse down. Yet I know HTH is worth north of £1 and given time the shares should reflect that value, but when? | whiters
01/12/2009 14:10 | "The Company also recently announced that the new financial year has started well, and trading by all Group companies is in line with, or ahead of, the Board's expectations. Gross margins are improving, and overheads are under close control. The relocation of our two subsidiary companies, Hartest Precision Instruments and Agar Scientific, has also been completed successfully. The Board is encouraged by recent trading results, and has formed the view that if this performance is sustained through the autumn, then the Board will resume dividend payments at the time of the Interim Announcement in December." In view of the above statement issued at the AGM, I can see no possibility of PG accepting Delta's 61p on offer. With the company confirming they are seemingly over the worst, he's got nothing to loose by simply waiting for the release of the Interim figures. I'll be doing likewise. It beats me why anyone would want to jump ship before then. | ansc
30/11/2009 23:06 | Agree entirely with baner. Go back awhile and the break up value of Hartest was between £1 and £1.30 What it is now is anyone's guess but the interim statement should be out within 3 weeks and just maybe it will be clearer. | whiters
30/11/2009 21:55 | whiters it is interesting there is no discussion of what the "true" value of HH could be today - reference to this Gillenhammer and Elektron and what the share price has been or not, is really not that relevant?!there must be a reason Delta are so keen to buy the company - they must see a LOT of value in this to justify all the efforts and costs - before they have this in box i am sure it will have cost them 70p or so - and yet they must expect to make a good return. i suppose this is what the directors of HH should address and inform shareholders about - what values are there in the company - not what the shareprice was at this or that date! | baner
30/11/2009 17:19 | Well at .61p EKT would be down about £30k and PG would be down about £280k. So several possible outcomes. a) Either PG or EKT refuse. Deal dead or option ( c ). b) EKT accepts I suspect most others would accept leaving just PG out and delta with 70+% deal in balance depending on Deltas view of PG. c) EKT refuses then Hartest declare a dividend with the permision of Delta of 2p before deal goes through. EKT would then be even, so might well accept, again I suspect most others would accept leaving just PG out and delta with 70+% deal in balance depending on Deltas view of PG. d) PG accepts in which case deal done. Personally and most unfortunately I'm a little sceptical of success but hope I'm wrong. | whiters

29/11/2009 21:16 | try MLIN at a yield of 9% and DTG for a p/e of about 4. snow | snowman10
29/11/2009 17:30 | Yes my family have unloaded. My family hold Hilton Foods. Prudential. Tate Lyle. | ls lowry
29/11/2009 10:46 | It which case LS LOWRY have you sold at this high price? I have shown my hand and said i have sold half, because whilst i think HTH is worth 100p we may not get it. snow | snowman10
28/11/2009 19:44 | BB. More cryptic nonsense. My family has held a small number of shares I just get the feeling the deal will fall through based on a bit of analysis of various posters on and off this board. Notice the offer is only an indicative offer no firm offer. That is an indication in itself the deal might not come off. I dont know what EKT and this PG are up to but it doesn't look like it will come off. The board of HTH arent rec the offer at all. | ls lowry
28/11/2009 17:03 | The offers are there, Gallenhammer is not looking to sell fast, it was never the game plan and when you are not to close to the centre the view is very different. Can anyone actually explain to me what they would purchase if the current offer was accepted, is HTH such a good investment? unless "the purchaser" is really looking to invest and pull everything up by the boot strings (in this climate)and go forward what have they gained because I am dammed if I know. Perhaps we should ask the old boxing partners barcelona4 and spec7 as I am sure they will know. But I am with you LS Lowry I think the offer will fall through. | alpaso
27/11/2009 20:09 | Lets have a bet then. I say the offer will fall through. Notice the co has made no statement rec the offer. | ls lowry
27/11/2009 19:07 | I think EKT will accept the offer, they need the cash. Gyllenhammar is a different kettle of fish though and if there's going to be a sticking point it's him. | arthur_lame_stocks
27/11/2009 19:01 | lIKE I said i have sold 50% of my holding over the last few weeks and what i sit on is pure profit as my buys were very low 20`s snow | snowman10
27/11/2009 18:00 | 5,000 shares sold today so what timing? Its not over while the fat lady sings comes to mind. Whats to bet the deal with Delta falls through? I have a sneaky suspicion the deal will get rejected then Delta walks away. Anyone that has a large number of shares is still in a dilema. You can sell now with a small amouunt of shares but no real money to be made there. The RNS today gives no real clue what the company think. HTH will no doubt have to issue a RNS but my guess is the will be governed by what EKT and this other PG want. | ls lowry
27/11/2009 17:44 | You know the secret of good comedy LS Lowry? It's all in the timing. | arthur_lame_stocks
27/11/2009 16:37 | ...counter bidder a possibility....roll on next week:-) | pre
27/11/2009 12:28 | Although I expect EKT will be more that willing to accept the 61p mentioned, I would be surprised if PG does. Having been on board for so long, he'll need at least 70p just to cover his costs (including inflation, lack of income). No doubt we'll get some words of wisdom from you-know-who ..... | ansc
27/11/2009 10:34 | holding my 50% after selling others. can still be blocked or face another bid snow | snowman10
27/11/2009 08:03 | ...excellent 61p cash offer....wakey wakey...trading at well below this price at the moment...20% to be made easily imo if buy and hold for cash offer...... | pre
27/11/2009 07:37 | Come on you lot WAKE UP :-)) | spec7 |
