Looking for negative dirt to explain today (which I'm very grateful to have been able to use to get in) hxxps://citywire.co.uk/wealth-manager/news/hargreaves-overhauls-buy-list-but-snubs-fundsmith/a1374378?ref=wealth_manager_all_stories_list hxxps://www.investmentweek.co.uk/news/4017134/hargreaves-lansdown-relaunches-68-strong-wealth-shortlist Seems a bit unlikely to me, but down 10% in a few days, there should be something behind it.

Workplace pensions are becoming increasing vanilla, market projections of long term returns ranging from 4-7% for equities for the "market" portfolio. I for one will be moving one pot to a HL SIPP because of the increased choice of funds so I see that as a secular tailwind for HL

Could always be just quarterly dressing - hold on 30th June, sell on 1st July - by larger funds. Not big volumes disclosed so far. I really don't know, but took the opportunity, glad to be back in to a fantastic (if expensively-multipled) business . Seemed rude not to - might as well take advantage. Will add if I need to.

Good volatility though - down 10% since Friday. I won't be able to leave it much longer...

Not happy is it? Not currently holding but getting tempted. Although recent support at 1600 keeps getting tested.

Overhang of owners constantly dumping holdings at distressed prices and potential legal action still stifling these. Until those problems are flushed out this can’t go anywhere, lt holders may be better to switching to being short term traders. UK and ftse index a dire covid damaged basket case anyway, best to short U.K. and invest in the S&P which is the best index by a country mile.

Porsche1945 3 Jun '20 - 13:03 - 831 of 852 0 0 0 the possible group legal action over Woodford fiasco, that probably wouldn’t come to too much but the bad press no good for share price -------- An opportunity for LT holders to pick up on exaggerated risks.

:-) Ran away this morning as market was looking dubious. Just bought them back, not sure why really, just think they're relatively strong on a down day. Happy to add more lower down.

Hi all, My mate Peter @Conkers3 and myself did a Twin Petes Investing Podcast a few days ago and part of our discussion covers HL. We also chatted about the current situation in the Markets and covered loads of Stocks and as always a fair bit of general Portfolio Management educational stuff. Anyway, if you use Apple, Audioboom, Overcast or Spotify you can find it under the 'Conkers Corner' Channel (you want TPI Podcast 24) and you can find it on Soundcloud at the link below. I hope you enjoy it and find it useful, Cheers, WD @wheeliedealer hTTps://soundcloud.com/user-479955511/conkers3-wheeliedealer-24-is-cash-king-gaw-fdev-fevr-ajb-hl-grid-hfd-ocdo-php-luce

They should be pursuing Woodford, not Hargreaves

Everything non-precious metals through the roof, everything gold and silver crashing (watch it reverse...); meantime this does nothing. At least it's not actively falling...

As seen from the RNS of 3 June a staff SAYE scheme from 2015 matured on 1 June, so lots of staff may have cashed in over the last few days on stock they paid 958p for. Not sure that alone would be enough for the steep falls though? The other possible factor is more rumours in the market about possible legal action. Slater & Gordon have been running a targeted facebook advert about a potential class action regarding Woodford over the past week.

Personally I'm happy to see this keep rising. 5 years from now this will be a behemoth and people be laughing about the volatility in the 1000-2000 range

Fair point, I am just considering the share in isolation when I say that. Looks fine from that perspective, but yes, considering market is up and this is down, there ought to be something specific. Possibly an owner sale, possibly some broker view, possibly just on a valuation basis. Personally I'm happy to see it fall further and add.

Why would it be a “ healthy “ pullback in a rising market??

I am, of course, now in, for better or worse. Probably the first of a number of tranches, as things always fall when I buy them... But happy to add.

No, don't know - but it is a healthy pullback in a steep uptrend. Probably a good thing in the long term.
