25/2/2020 20:20 | People need to stop running round in circles and stop panicking. We are what 6-7% off. It's not even a correction atm | davr0s
25/2/2020 20:02 | Hello 1 NHS... what do you suggest we all do? - or should we just panic! | ochs
25/2/2020 14:06 | We are not far off forced sellers of ALL ASSETS (bar Gold for immediate delivery)
Paper gold, might as well be flushed down the toilet.
It’s about to turn on a sixpence.
Governments will furnish the world with yet more free cash, but they can’t control the mindset of the people, or the virus.
No one on this thread can say they have not, been given notice | 1 nhs
19/2/2020 19:17 | So Porsche1945 are you currently short or did you close around £16 before xd? | ochs
19/2/2020 10:59 | 'Switch your money ON' !!

19/2/2020 10:27 | Its not the payout risk its the constant bad publicity risk, the endless negative drip drip and to be honest the way the funds were punted at launch was questionable, they didnt and dont market other funds in the same manner, I can remember being inundated with mail-shots, when I closed my account with HL it was one of the reasons I gave them, as the funds always looked cxxp to me, along with the fact their admin and charges were poor and high respectively. | porsche1945
13/2/2020 19:06 | Honestly, investors know the risk...and can't be immune from losses just because it's on a recommended list. People (should) know this. Just as important as the "past performance is no guarantee of future performance" so too is that anything that can happen to a fund on a buy list...Hargreaves raised this with Woodford and he decided to carry on like a mugg. Honk about it, if they had removed it and published the reasons, there would have been a liquidity event anyway as investors moved out... | growthpotential
13/2/2020 15:39 | Even if they settle out of court, that's 1 in 4 of its customers that are going to get a pay out. Until we know what the courts think, it will put pressure on the share price. People don't like uncertainty. | natasonline
13/2/2020 15:34 | They're building it now, we don't know yet wether it has legs or not. Hence why I think the share price will move sideways until its thrown out or relsoved.https://www.slatergordon.co.uk/commercial-and-group-litigation/woodford-investment-management-and-hargreaves-lansdown/ | natasonline
13/2/2020 14:14 | Even if there were to be any sort of legal challenge/class action (which I still think is unlikely) chances are HL would settle out of court and get it out of the way at lowest cost. | ochs
13/2/2020 14:00 | What law suit? Despite a lot of talk over the last 6 months, nothing has actually happened. IMO the chances of anything actually surfacing, let alone being successful, are very low. | lomax99
13/2/2020 13:51 | I feel the share price is going to track sideways until the law suit has been resolved and the damage is exposed. | natasonline
13/2/2020 07:41 | httPS://seekingalpha.com/article/4323282-hargreaves-lansdown-reiterating-buy-after-23-correction-h1-results
Good article. | mac15 | |
12/2/2020 16:24 | The price was walked down from £24 to the £16 levels by the financial institutions to negotiate some cheap stock from PHNo doubt they had some tidy shorts going ontoBuy their stock, close their shorts and up this shoots. Simple share price manipulation Fill your boots | romeoandjuliet
12/2/2020 11:32 | Indeed, 11.2p per share for anyone buying today... or a loss of 11.2p per share for anyone still short after close of business today. | ochs
12/2/2020 08:44 | HL goes ex dividend tomorrow. | lomax99
10/2/2020 21:40 | People can't cry because they lost money, HL done nothing wrong | growthpotential
10/2/2020 10:25 | remember the metrics. (TTM) Way better than all of its competition Atleast HL have more leeway to soak up the mess so this is all being priced in as we speak and its still sitting on a pe of 29 and forward pe of 26.2
Operating Margin 63.9%
ROA 28.6%
ROCE 68.9%
ROE 63.6% | intelinvestor
10/2/2020 09:55 | if that was the case I think or would expect to see more directors following suit Sr2day | intelinvestor
10/2/2020 04:28 | if there were 3 billion pound involved and HL is found not to have carried due deligence on the woodford funds then a 10% compensation will wipe off one year pretax profit.not surprised the founder has sold over £500m worth of shares. | sr2day
09/2/2020 22:28 | I think I read HL had 3 billion Pound invested by its clients in the Woodford fund. If they are found to have mislead their clients, that's a lot of compensation to be paid out. This feels like 2010 again when all the banks I was invested in were in legal action for something new everyday. | natasonline
09/2/2020 22:18 | As far as I can remember it was because it was deemed to risky to have been available for purchase by amature investors. I didn't seek legal advice or complain, I just got a phone call one day to say I was being given compensation. It was during the height of the PPI scandle. They gave me my outlay back plus interest had it been invested in the index. I think the based it on a round 7%. Not bad, being rewarded for a failed gamble. | natasonline

09/2/2020 20:39 | Why did they give you the £1,000 if they hadn't provided you with personal advice to buy the ETF? | ochs
