Looks clear the results will be published really just as a background to whatever restructuring Arev are minded to do. Whether they can announce before 30 June who can say? At least that is deadline for them, of which I am sure they are only too aware.

Of on hols. tomorrow for a couple of weeks & do NOT propose to look at the financial pages while away, so see you late June.

Take care.

The wait has been so tedious that I have begun confusing this share with another in my rather sickly portfolio. Sorry for the confusion. Having said that they really should get the results for LAST YEAR out sometime soon. I will be hitting the hard stuff soon !

It's raining & I'm browsing. I've just made the mistake of seeing how the online website is getting on. Approaching half (on a rough count) of the menswear is now/already savagely discounted, mainly by a straight 50%. The women's collection is just the handags.

Same in the stores? - I'm nowhere near one

What more can be said?

This was released by Burberry today. If they can do it I dont see why HRD cant albeit on a smaller scale at the moment.
---------------
Fashion group Burberry is to make a further push into emerging markets and
cash-rich regions after strong demand for luxury goods from countries such as
China and Russia helped annual profits rise by a quarter today.
The firm posted pre-tax profits of #195.7 million for the year to the end of
March, with like-for-like sales up 8%.

Just taken a look at Arev's website.

Its ONE page, but there is some intereting info:-

---------
Arev is an investment business, focused primarily on the retail sector.

Arev invests directly and through Kcaj, a private equity fund.

These investments include: Aspinal of London, Blooming Marvellous, Cruise, Duchamp, Hardy Amies, GHOST, Jones Bootmaker, Limeys, Linens 'n Things, Mountain Warehouse and Unisport.

--------
Some interesting new names there.

I wonder if they ever caught up with the £1/3M allegedly nicked from the company. Is there insurance against that kind of thing I wonder. It would certainly improve the balance sheet if plod could catch the culpret/s. I dont remember any update from the company on this.

Thanks Bungler. On the upside it shows private equity improving confidence in clothes retailing. Downside is more competition to HRD.
I notice someone sold 17 quids worth of shares today just covering their dealing costs. It could be a sign !

Well, please let us know what you find either way - we're a fairly small bunch on this bb who seem to have run out of new things to talk about with regards to HRD. Thanks in advance.

I bloomin' well hope so - I'm not sure my nerves could handle another downward lurch. Are you thinking of getting in then Der Ritter - and if so what attracted you to the share may I ask?

Bungler. Its on or before the 30th of June. Their track record suggests it will be towards the end of the time scale, but I reckon it will be sooner. I spoke to their advisers Shore Capital the other day. Without giving much away they indicated that the company is moving forward. No profits yet but this is a time of investment in the brand.

Was it the end of June that was the latest possible day for results can anyone remember?

lets hope so - I still think the renog contract almost makes them profitable alone. The numbers should show a big increase in sales.
