Brexit:

The decision by the UK to leave the EU has little direct impact on Hansard, the company advised. Incorporated and based on the Isle of Man, Hansard affirmed that it is not reliant on the UK’s membership of the EU to conduct its business.

In fact, sterling weakness compared to the US dollar stands to benefit the company in terms of income and profit levels, as the majority of premium contributions and assets under administration are in currencies other than sterling.

Well its got to break very very strong resistance at this point as it will be a multi year breakout. I guess rome was not built in a day etc.Free cash flow here is astonishing divi increase ahead imo.

New business results for the year ended 30 June 2016

Hansard Global plc ("Hansard" or "the Group"), the specialist long-term savings provider, issues its new business results for the financial year ended 30 June 2016 ("FY 2016").

Summary

-- We have continued to deliver significantly increased new business levels compared to the prior financial year.

-- New business for Hansard International Limited ("Hansard International") for the full year to 30 June 2016 was GBP119.3m PVNBP ("Present Value of New Business Premiums"), approximately 97% higher than the prior year.

-- Q4 2016 new business of GBP32.6m PVNBP continues the growth momentum displayed in the past 4 quarters, having increased from GBP30.4m in Q3 2016 and being approximately 65% higher than Q4 2015.

-- The Middle East and Africa continues to be the standout region with a key product enhancement launched in Q4 being well received.

-- The recent vote in the United Kingdom to leave the European Union has no direct impact on Hansard in terms of the operation of its business activities or access to markets. Sterling weakness compared to the US dollar will be a benefit to income and profit levels if rates remain at current levels as the majority of premium contributions and assets under administration are in currencies other than sterling.

Gordon Marr, Group Chief Executive Officer, commented:

"We are pleased to announce the delivery of sustained new business growth quarter on quarter. The full year business levels have put us on a strong footing after a year of transition in 2015. We see further opportunities for growth in new and existing markets and are confident of achieving this in the coming financial year."

I guess what he meant was a read across to ex-pats moving their sips out of the UK, cant blame them for sitting on their hands whilst the currency stabilizes.

However in Hansards case its hardly a company that hangs on tender hooks awaiting expats to transfer SIPs is it.

I see stm quickly recovered today which is unremarkable really as the slowdown is obviously a temporary delay blip which will catch back up imo however it is a different beast.

I think you'll find the target customer are pretty similar. HSD operate in the legally questionable field of shielding investments from taxation by applying an insurance wrapper. Hence they no longer sell in Europe, Japan or US.

I really don't think there is any read across from STM. STM are working on the back of questionably legal DeVere group (long history; go google for more info) in relation to QROPS business.

Hansard are operating in considerably different market.

The year to date new business sales at £86.8m was up 113% although this included a previously reported related party transaction of £8.3m in Q2. Pleasingly the sales traction seen in the previous quarters is starting to broaden out to more territories whilst pre-dividend Hansard traded profitably and generated net positive cash flows. We..."

I think it should be noted that today's note only contained New Business Stats (which were encouraging) but didn't contain margin info or AUM so difficult to get the full picture.

In an analyst rating update on Thursday shares of Hansard Global PLC (LON:HSD) had their rating reiterated by analysts at Panmure Gordon.

The broker said it has now set a ‘Buy’ rating on shares of Hansard Global PLC with a price target of 124. The price target according to the broker shows a possible increase of 9.73% from the current stock price of 113.

Seems a bit mean, given the results and last month they gave EEV NAV as 138p?

I'll be looking to add to my holding over the coming year, way undervalued imo. Should be nearer £2.00+ to my mind which is a reasonable value balancing high yield, growth potential versus perceived and actual risk.
