Hammering on the £3 door again - 3rd time since Jan '09. Will we get in this time around, or is it a treble top?

why do you mention the 7000 and not the 20000 which equates to £55,000 and is hardly peanuts?

I expect a small rise tomrrow.

doesn't count as a major amount in my view... just minor topping up... 7,000 shares is about £17,000 not massive..

The CEO, Joe Oatley also bought 7000 shares. That makes it just a bit more interesting, doesn't it?

Rafal Kroczka, managing director of Hamworthy Baltic Design Centre (HBDC), said: "A study conducted this year at the HBDC established that steam turbine-driven cargo pumps create almost three times the CO2 emissions and demand double the fuel consumption when compared to electrically-driven systems during offloading operations."

... useful work at HBDC.

with the cash HMY has I'm not sure it is a matter of confidence... they are probably not going to go into loss... but earnings could take a big hit for a few years and then after then who knows???? Slap

I also think that it is very telling that the Board have the confidence to make acquisitions at this point in the economic cycle. They have the confidence to buy bolt-ons knowing that a downturn is apparent for the next year and maybe the year after.

Maybe we should see our glass half-full and appreciate the cash generation of the business and the confidence of the Board?

when you say "earnings moved down again next year to 18.5p"
do you mean y/e march 2010 or march 2011.?

I'm not sure how much sales will fall in y/e march 2010,because turnover in y/e 30/3/09 was 252.8m and the y/e order book was 260.4m.

Turnover could fall more in y/e march 2011 however.

Having said that they are incredibly cash generative. They floated with net debt and if you exclude the 55m net cash they are incredibly cheap on an EV/EBIT basis which I think is the only sensible valuation method.

I've no idea what will happen to the share price in the near to medium term . But i do believe very strongly the share will increase appreciably at some time in the future.
