19/2/2010 08:53 | Final results due on Monday. Current NAV is 373p as per valuation to 30th June 2009. As a conservative assumption imagine NAV increasing by just 10% during the last six months. This would give a new NAV of 410p. If the NAV increased by 15% the new NAV would be 429p. BLND reported an 18% increase in NAV in the last quarter alone. Yesterdays closing share price was 393p. | purplebox
18/9/2009 15:10 | Guys - One More Property Stocks , The owner of Canary Wharf ( The RNS today snuggest money is being poured to raise stake on London Canary Wharf. 07/8/2009 09:40 | Hammerson will follow the market so unless a share comes along which I consider better value I will hold on. | churchill2

08/7/2009 14:51 | Slow thread ! | racg
08/7/2009 09:14 | Yeah, lets hope it is for the short term and not the medium term. I ve got into other recovery situations way to early, (bdev), to wit. But the big beasts of the commercial property world now are beginning to spark my interest. Interested to see how HMSO behaves. | racg
08/7/2009 08:57 | Hi racq For the short term commercial values are depressed. However HMSO after the rights issue are not forced sellers owning some good assets. Hopefully they have the management who can see them through this differcult period by reducing costs and encouraging existing and new tenants. This will not be easy so managements generally are going to have to pull out all stops to earn their salaries. | churchill2
08/7/2009 08:33 | Ok so using the historical discount of 30% on NAV, the market uses, then the share is not particularly cheap. Unless we think commercial values are on the turn. | racg
06/7/2009 13:11 | After allowing for a reduction in values since January I would guess at nearer 4 pounds. | churchill2
06/7/2009 11:44 | so net asset value per share is just under 6 pounds ? | racg
06/7/2009 09:11 | Hi Alex Its simple really. Assets of £6 billion at end of year valuation allowing for sales this year. After disposals debts £2 billion. 700 million shares. £4 billion divided by 700 million. Thats the easy bit. The differcult bit is in the current climate of empty shops uncertain shoppers etc. how much are Hammerson`s assets really worth. The problem is everyone you ask will have a different opinion. | churchill2
04/7/2009 00:15 | anyone that has knowledge please email me regarding HMSO some sharemagazine pointed out this is a defenate buy. anyone with knowledge and info to share please alex | alex_raga

On an individual stock level Citi has recommended Hammerson (LSE: HMSO.L - news) and British Land (LSE: BLND.L - news) as "buys". The former's price target has been lifted from 241p to 351p while the latter is tipped to rise to 453p, up from the previous price target of 366p. | dovegang
24/6/2009 15:44 | Quiet thread. I think people are of opinion it is lower to go. Maybe ..... | racg
15/6/2009 09:13 | Got a passing comment in the Sunday Times saying with a discount of about 57% this discount will narrow rapidly before any increase in property prices. | pip_uk
05/6/2009 16:06 | Hmm very quite in here, these have hit the radar ... so may be having a punt soon .. good luck | dawntrader
