13/10/2018 07:19 | A bit out of favour. I reckon this one is a survivor once high street is sorted. It has smaller more niche high end centres and is big in Europe. Intu is the opposite. Just ride it out. Target price £8 if not bought in meantime | robertball
11/10/2018 20:54 | What is going on with this company? I read in FT today - a quote in article... "nobody wants to own these assets" The share price is trading at a 40% discount to net asset value. Why are they not writing down the property values? | mountpleasant
09/10/2018 20:13 | "Klépierre — which made a £5bn takeover approach last month — has increased the value of its offer to 635p a Hammerson share, to be paid half in new Klépierre shares and half in cash. " I don't really understand why the HMSO share price has dropped back so much. The Klepierre share price is down about 10% since April but that still values the offer at about 600p per share, an offer which Hammerson described as "wholly inadequate". | hugepants
05/10/2018 11:11 | I believe it problem lie with its own stubbornness to expand on it properties rather then re-evaluate it rate review, stop trying to expand on shopping centers like Brent cross bring back retail business stores small and large with lower rates so they can weather the storm ahead, bigger is not always better. | 777mason
05/10/2018 08:35 | Will Intu bid encourage French or US to bid? | robertball
05/10/2018 07:55 | I apologise just read bid not from hammerson. | manrobert
05/10/2018 07:49 | probably why further collapse in share price.this c.e.really is a gem!!! | manrobert

04/10/2018 19:24 | possible offer for Intu imminent. I have posted on Intu board. | trcml
30/8/2018 18:53 | "the share buy backs not seeming to do much for the share price.maybe wasting money?" IME, prop cos are generally more skilled at property than finance - even though successful investment in property is 50% finance. The only reason I can think of for HMSO embarking upon the buy-back every working day since 24 July, spending approximately £1M at a time, than choosing the moment and saving money by buying back on the dips, is that there would not be enough sellers at lower prices to satisfy HMSO's demand. As for not doing much for the share price, the buy-backs total to yesterday will as a result of the number of share cancelled reduce the money due in dividends. --- I don't think today's 5% fall in share price was entirely xd-caused. I think the market has woken up to the decoupling of rental and capital growth that has been prevalent for many years as a consequence of yield-compression. A shift in thinking whither growth is now adversely affecting investment yields as well. | trcml
30/8/2018 12:38 | Ex div date for a few today | robertball
30/8/2018 08:16 | Any idea why Reits taking a hit today? Hmso -3.8%, Intu -4%, Klepierre -3%, Unibail -3% etc | roulettewheel
13/8/2018 09:04 | the share buy backs not seeming to do much for the share price.maybe wasting money? | manrobert
27/7/2018 07:47 | The 2 hedge funds are now underwater on their investment. I would expect action from them - either pushing for merger, or taking out management. Or they could buy more. Either way, the selling / shorting will continue for now. A lot of long term and retail investors will get hurt. | mountpleasant
26/7/2018 08:57 | Metrics for that would be in the annual report. I think it's fortunate HMSO found themselves a bid target, as this has forced a strategic refocus, that otherwise may have occurred at a later stage. | essentialinvestor
26/7/2018 08:53 | is the directors bonus calculated on earnings per share? | manrobert
26/7/2018 08:44 | This is the same HMSO BOD who bid for INTU and for months insisted the deal would create significant value, ultimately it was concerted ii pressure that forced a withdrawal. The 300M buy back looks another error to me. | essentialinvestor
26/7/2018 08:36 | Intu read across. Dodged a bullet here | r ball
26/7/2018 08:14 | 777mason.looks like you are right not much confidence in this board.you would think they are a sitting duck if the French return. | manrobert
25/7/2018 15:57 | but idiot atkins still there after turning down bid of 635p | manrobert
25/7/2018 15:10 | there is a small window of opportunity to run for the hill guys don't miss it I have it on good authority Hammerson's are going to pay for there mistakes. | 777mason
24/7/2018 03:29 | Hammerson (HMSO) Earnings-Reaction to Keep an Eye | danieldanj
23/7/2018 08:56 | Market doesn't seem bothered. Volume low. Knocked down at the start with rest of FTSE and now has come back surprisingly fast, which caught me out as I was long first thing at 526.8 on CFD's and closed way too early apparently at 530.0 10% strikes me as more than I would have liked but better than the barrow boys view. | cc2014 |
