26/6/2013 16:57 | i cant believe how well HMB as held up, the open pit cant carry on at gold at $1235 for very long, they must be very close to running out of money, all gold miners hit hard today except HMB, maybe a delayed reaction will happen. | chestnuts
26/6/2013 09:27 | Chip, I too could do without a trip to Central London at this time. However, this is an important period for HMB for numerous reasons - not least the gold price. From my perception, your knowledge and analysis re mining operations is above average. Therefore, your input and insight at the AGM would be valuable. L. | loppylugs
25/6/2013 23:57 | Yes I agree with that chip already the banks have more longs on than shorts and this company has even more time to develop so sometime it will come right. I do not hold at this time but still watching Y | yangou
25/6/2013 23:38 | Hi Yangou! - For my sins yes! I was actually reasonably optimistic about the partial T/O and felt the new management were likely to be the right people to exploit both the current mine (U/G) as well as other opportunities in Kaz. However, one must recognise that the drop in the PoG will have made things far harder for the open-pit economics which may well impact on the pace of U/G development. But I will stick around to see what progress they are able to make and I do fully expect the PoG to rise in the fullness of time. Chip | chipperfrd
25/6/2013 22:48 | Hi Chip do you still hold some shares here? | yangou
25/6/2013 19:09 | L, I really ought to try and make it. I am very busy with family business at the moment and had not made plans to go to the AGM. I will see what I can do. Chip | chipperfrd
24/6/2013 20:29 | Chip, Are you going to the AGM on Friday? Regards L | loppylugs
19/6/2013 11:51 | Chris, Given lopplugs post above, there is probably a shortage of available stock. I am just sitting patiently waiting to see what the new management can achieve. Chip | chipperfrd
19/6/2013 11:23 | What's happening here today..........>???? | chrisdgb
14/6/2013 11:34 | Something strange going on with the MM's in HMB shares. Have just been quoted 1.42 for a 100k of stock. Presumably, there is a shortage of stock and yet price indications still 1.2-1.3 | loppylugs
13/6/2013 15:26 | I posted last week about the shortage of shares available to buyers in the market and it seem sthat this is still the situation. No price movement though. P S To establish a tax loss and buy back in you have to wait 30 days. | timgw
13/6/2013 12:25 | I've just checked and no im not high on drugs or drunk, so can't have been me. Must be one of the others. Did you check with phillis? | 1nf3rn0
13/6/2013 11:01 | Anyone any suggetions re interpretation of the recent large trades (c.2m&5m) - historically very substantial by HMB standards? Establishing a tax loss?? | loppylugs
13/6/2013 08:05 | I see Inf3no just topped up with another £72k at 1.28p | dofmeister
10/6/2013 14:47 | yes nutty i have filtered you | phillis
08/6/2013 08:52 | Funny how you,ve turned all bearish after you've sold chesty.........lol | pineapple1
08/6/2013 08:25 | Inflation in Kazakstan is quite high around 8% depending where you read, so their 1353 cost per oz could grow by this much quite easily so HMB need gold to stay above $1400 just to breakeven, they need to get the underground up and running to bring down the cost per oz asap, and with the debt getting bigger they are going to struggle, so a new cash injection is going to happen one way or another, mind you this goes for alot of the gold miners, the gold bull is not over its just taking a rest. The cash cost of production, excluding depreciation and provisions, was $1,172 (2011: $1,065) per ounce. The cost of production (including depreciation and royalty payments) was $1,584 (2011: $1,417) per ounce. The increase in the cost of production in 2012 compared to 2011 was principally due to a provision against ore stockpiles of $5.7 million (2011: $1.6 million) due to production costs being higher than the net realisable value of the gold contained within the ore. Adjusted for the provision, the cost of production is $1,353 per ounce. As explained, efficiency measures have been implemented to control costs and to increase the gold recovery rate. | chestnuts
08/6/2013 08:19 | Phillis you have a problem so deal with it | chestnuts
07/6/2013 20:37 | Is that your late buy Inf3rno ? £25k at 1.35p. You naughty little deramper. Nice one, Centurion :-} | dofmeister
07/6/2013 19:30 | Have now looked at the 'finals' in more detail; there appears to be a number of positives. Remember that the report deals very largely with the (mis)management when the Company was under the control of the previous BoD e.g., 'giving' $3.6m to a third party apparently without any form of surety* Some of the positives in report may been seen as - 1. Focusing on underground extraction - Akmola could always have been viewed as 'trying to run .....' Good progress made in this direction during Q1/13 2. Cost reduction as a priority - always a good sign when management has a positive attitude towards cost control and reduction. 3. Mineral (ug) resources are larger than previously anticipated. and 4. Grades are improving all the time. There appears little at present that you can blame the current management for. | loppylugs
07/6/2013 19:25 | Up she goes !!! Looks like a golden opportunity for those who can see it ;-] £30k says I can. | dofmeister
07/6/2013 19:13 | Somebody obviously took the time to carefully read the report and stuck £25,000 in at 1.35p. | dofmeister
07/6/2013 16:58 | I have to say that I do not thinnk that any of the "facts" affecting fundamentals can be relied on to help with one's judgement. Having sold a good few at 2p I don't see any real alternative to sitting it out with the rest of my holding. Doing a dummy real trade this afternoon the price had risen but it was interesting that I could only buy 50,000 shares whereas the broker would take up to one million off me if I was a seller. I am sure there is a message there but only time will tell! | timgw
07/6/2013 15:44 | Nutty must be buying! | phillis |
