I don't think these will perform well for at least a year but there is takeover potential you might get rewarded there. Otherwise this is a tuck away job
Does anyone think they may be hiding that most extraordinary expensive takeover of National Tires lock stock and barrel by accounting trickery? Could this be the reason for never-ending profit warnings?

Thanks Maximus57 and ArgyleRich Well I decided to dip my toe in for some today. This will inevitably be higher than this at some point and I'd be happy for 10% tbh. The business is robust and even the odd rumour of a takeover could bump it up quickly. I'm prepared it may go lower in the short term but I'm not about trying to call a bottom. Anything below £2 should be a safe bet. Just my opinion.

No RNS out today to confirm or deny rumour speculations? So business as usual then today.Awaiting half year results unless the potential suitor wants to make it a hostile takeover.Watch out!

www.sharecast.com/news/news-and-announcements/halfords-surges-on-takeover-speculation--14948688.html Halfords shares surged on Thursday after markets blog Betaville reported in one of its 'uncooked alerts’ that the motoring and cycling products retailer was at the centre of takeover speculation. Citing people following the situation, Betaville said that over the last few months Halfords had received an approach from a mystery party. The latest indicative approach was rumoured to have been pitched at around 270p a share but that was rejected by the company. Since then, another suitor was said to have begun to show an interest in buying Halfords. However, it's not clear whether Halfords is still in live discussions with either bidder, sources said. At 1535 BST, the shares were up 15% at 210.20p.
