02/7/2020 18:31 | I'm not getting excited about next Tuesday's results. Cycling should have done well, but motoring...well, it won't have been motoring, will it. Still, could be the opportunity for a private equity takeover. | poikka

01/7/2020 12:41 | do you need a car license for an electric bicycle ? if not, why do you need one for a bloody scooter ? | spob
01/7/2020 12:39 | this country truly is run by monkeys you can ride a scooter on the road only if rented but not if you own it ? and you need a car license to ride one, even though they only do 15mph crazy can go much faster than that on a road racing bike | spob

30/6/2020 09:23 | Seems to be a fair bit of interest this morning, long may it continue. Up over 5% on a general market down day :-) | sicker
30/6/2020 08:57 | Porsche you couldn’t call a cab, the recent drop was more about the second Global spike in Covid, nothing Halfords specific IMO you need to drop the ego down a few gears Porsche. | mercer95
30/6/2020 08:37 | You can go into Halfords stores now.The ones that are open, still about a hundred closed and 25% of garages still remain unopened for business. So any additional increase as an accidental beneficiary will be wiped out from loss of revenue and profits from these closed stores. No bikes until September is a long wait and summer will be over by then and the nation may in in another lockdown by then? The economy is in tatters and 45percent of all business are still closed across the UK.There is no way we will escape the coming depression imo. | kendonagasaki

29/6/2020 14:01 | Yes but there is no point if you want cycles as there is no stock | arab3
29/6/2020 13:53 | can you go inside the stores now ? | spob
29/6/2020 13:26 | Judging by my local Halfords, the issue here is going to be whether the boost ? from covid is going to compensate for rubbish management. There is a whole list of stuff. I almost bought some more to average down as at a paper loss from 250p+, but I don't like the idea of buying something just because its an accidental beneficiary. For instance, the stock system hasn't been working since early year in terms of being accurate about bike parts. Then there is the bizarre sight, even after they got vaguely organised with a one-way system, of waiting for ages outside the store, only to discover 6 people inside a massive area. Then there are issues with random bike servicing quality. The website also does not work very well on mobile with the filter not being retained if you go back and forwards. Lots of perhaps small details, but to me shows a lack of attention which was present before covid. Forgiveable in a small local shop, but not with something as large as Halfords. I have only seen a handful of cars since covid started, while queueing to pick up bike parts. 0/t in general bikes have run out. You can look around the net and anything under about £400 is difficult to find. Certainly in terms of choice. The budget range is the first one people go to, if they just want to get a starter bike - so no surprise its low stock. | yump
25/6/2020 22:03 | 30 day chart turned negative.Support could be tricky here? | kendonagasaki
25/6/2020 10:05 | Bike sales booming at Tandem and no sign of it slowing according to update this morning. | amt
23/6/2020 18:25 | Porsche is just bitter and must be brain dead when they have never sold this many bikes before yet reckons they will go below 90pJust funny tbh, just ignore those sort of posters mostly. Like I said asos Porsche was proven wrong and disappeared from the board haha. | greco600
23/6/2020 14:55 | Good contribution Porsche, your parent would be proud. | mercer95 |
