Just spoke to Investor relations at GVC- Trading update for 1st qtr will be 25th May, I normally start adding close to Trading update, Looks like I'll wait a couple of weeks.

Festario - you are confusing dividend announcements/pay dates with the accounting period the dividend is for.For the year ending Dec 16 we have been paid 30c.For the year ending Dec 17 we are yet to receive any dividend. If you look at what the company has announced we will receive 2 dividends for fy 17. One will be announced in Sept 17 (the interim dividend) and one after the year end finals (in early 2018).Any specials are welcome but if you are expecting a normal dividend in may you need to look at what the company has actually said.This is all standard company practice. Please go and look at what the company has announced. Look at what other companys do. We may receive a special dividend at any time so let's hope there is one announced soon.CM

Cheshire Moggie... I don't know about you but I've had a dividend which came end Feb, or early March... plus another one is coming in early May.

I took that to mean there would be an RNS released at 7am and then the CMD event would take place at which no further material info would be given.

The rns is somewhat contradictory, it says kpi's and ts is
on the same day as the cmd, but then says no new material information
on the day.

25th May.

It seems strange that they are going ahead with next week's trading update when they say that the trading update on May 25th will have the Q1 KPI's. What will they be saying next week, which is three weeks after the end of Q1?

The next scheduled dividend is the start of the 6 monthly dividend cycle which will be announced at the interims in September.

However, given this company sneaky habit of announcing special dividends, which frankly gives me endless headaches in deciding how to spend all that extra cash, I wouldn't rule out a special at any time.

Festario, I'm not sure what you mean about the 2017 yield? We haven't had ANY dividends for 2017 yet so we can't be behind in the yield expectations.

I am sure you are right about the yield but that may be achieved by declaring an interim div in September, payable in October/November.

I am hopeful of another special, which may well be in July.

Mylands, I'm certain of a further dividend, probably announced at the end of July.If not, the yield will fall short of the Nomad's forecast for 2017.That won't happen, Kenny never disappoints the market.

All good and signs still pointing to all still bullish. Nice climb back to 739p pre-9:00am as I post.

. . .The wibble-wobble since the snap election announcement has had the effect of lowering the ceilings making life more testing for the share price to rise.

. . . First test today, is to see if it can close positively on 741p. That's all I'm looking for today, to keep me smiling.
