07/4/2017 19:04 | The Hills rumour has always been live. Hills price recovering for that reason. I think they could really do a good job here. Sell off the shops and take the online stuff in the US and AUSHills is undervalued IMO. Would be a great buy but I agree at there are serious legacy issues | trentendboy
07/4/2017 18:21 | Good article on Mr Alexander in the Evening Standard business section tonight. Rumours of buying William Hill.... | broncowarrior
07/4/2017 17:31 | Simple..... lowest possible price! | grahamburn
07/4/2017 16:18 | Velod, I want to buy some more. Where is a good entry based on your technical analysis? | mnomis
07/4/2017 13:10 | Notice that gap-down, on opening very first thing this morning (Friday)? . . . Holders would have turned in for the night knowing the closing share price was 717p . . . But this morning it opened straight out the box at 711.5p You had no chance to benefit from this 'mates rate' as an ordinary "retail investor". . . . Must have been early pre-opening am auction or something, as the climbing price towards close last night, left all indicators leaning towards a shade slightly bullish outlook. Doubt ordinary investors would have been able to buy at that low opening as the price action shows it instantly climbing from 711.5p in a flash, rapidly from opening. But more importantly to me was the "chance/random" opening of 711.5p - That's not a random chance share price in my book - it was sitting on top of the 710p support level I pointed out yesterday. . . . So even a bearish out of hours auction (or whatever the mates rates mechanism they use is) couldn't run over-wildly without hitting support levels to overcome. | velod
06/4/2017 18:43 | Its turning into a great trading stock IMO. | brownie69
06/4/2017 15:12 | Was wanting a few more, managed 712 ->714p | scottishfield

06/4/2017 13:11 | BERENBERG RAISES GVC HOLDING PRICE TARGET TO 900 (840) PENCE - 'BUY' | kop202
06/4/2017 10:22 | Don't care how low it goes - if it is intent on dropping further - it'll bounce off 705p; debateable if it ever will make it that far (he said with total, complete and utter conviction). . . . A full 5% drop from the close before XD day comes out coincidentally at a penny or so just above that old support level of 705p that held when it dropped to near that, the other month. (See my old post last Sunday for why I think a 5% max drop is the absolute worst that may or probably may not occur). . . . XD period alone is not strong enough to take it to 700p and certainly not below it - even intraday INMO. There would have to be added bad news released for that to occur. . . . There are so many, ready to take advantage if they gift the share at or around the 700p area, that any bears would be drowned in the tsunami of bullish investors taking advantage of the offer. . . . AND that's only if it can get past the 710p support level first! | velod
06/4/2017 09:35 | I'll be looking to add soon, I did sell 3k on xd day, sold some 888 this morning, but looking to add in the coming days | shayadfn
06/4/2017 08:44 | The drift down continues and closing in on 700p. Didn't think we would be back there after the latest figures, still you can never second guess the market. Just seen on the company website that the div exchange rate was set at 1.156470 Euro/£ giving a div of 13.057p. Start of the tax year and another opportunity to put a chunk of GVC shares (£20k this year) in to an ISA tax shelter. Add the trouble and strife's allowance, gives a total of £40k, well worth doing. | mylands
04/4/2017 15:06 | GVC,Will get there and beyond in time. | garycook

03/4/2017 14:45 | I topped up another £8k. This will bounce strongly soon imo. End of the tax year, ex div and market digesting the director sells, but then onwards and through £8... | danboris2
03/4/2017 13:53 | I might join you shortly, Festario. Never seen such a pathetic response to such excellent results. Bought some more at 713p. Is it something to do with the end of the financial year Wednesday? Down nearly 3% on volume of little more than 400K at the moment????? | woodhawk
03/4/2017 13:29 | Just thrown another £12k in, at 715.5p | festario
03/4/2017 12:46 | New Edison research note released today... Integration paying dividends - | speedsgh

02/4/2017 22:56 | Well, tried to review my portfolios this weekend but the sun was shining etc., but did have time to hope that perhaps this May will finally put paid to, and seal the lid once and for all, on the carry-on with the hangover from the negative price action of long months previous, and won’t be surprised if by the end of May the share price will be sitting comfortably well over £8 . . . Even oddball stats chime with May being THE month. Over the past 4 or 5 years the month of May for GVC has outperformed all other months of the year by consistently returning the best share price increase compared to any other month in the year. (Just as November holds the wooden spoon for poorest performing month in the same period). . . . Obviously nonsense stats to go on, that have nothing to do with the price of butter. The whole of April is mentally written off with the weight of XD hanging around its neck, and despite The XD period not being officially cleared until almost mid May I believe that even April could close higher than it started the month, after all vacillations (due only to this being the XD period) have tired of plumbing the depths. . . . An excellent Year-end trading result sealed the price above 700p. And rogue heavy selling ex-directors all but sold up; the way must be clear barring accidents, for May to have a decent run at getting the share price back in the saddle properly. . . . April may not light everyone’s fire but I have high expectations for what might follow in May. It’s the best clear run the share price will have for many a month. | velod
31/3/2017 16:19 | Effectively trading at 748p if you add back the 12.5 divi.Not far from all time high. | nurdin
31/3/2017 16:04 | All experience of EU suggests they blink first. Greek debt,France breaching deficit limits, all the way back to the feeble response to the Serbs in the Yugoslav civil war. 27 countries cannot maintain a unified negotiating position. As to GVC suspect some serious attempts to force sellers running up to xd and just after but seems to have failed and normal service now resumed. GLA | devoncop |
