As far as I understand the number of shares in GVC that a LCL holder will get doesn't depend on the FOBT review, only the amount of cash a LCL will receive.

How can they convert the lcl shares when they don't know how much gvc will pay for lcl due to the fobt triennial review outcome.

Halifax haven't yet converted my LCL shares so this business is still ongoing I guess.

i am assuming the holding RNS's are due to more shares in circulation rather than the II's selling up. not near my computer today so unable to check. can anyone confirm?

Not necessarily because the FTSE250 tracker funds will sell their GVC shares.

I guess the tracker funds will switch from what gvc replaces in to gvc, so should give us a shove hopefully

T34 - The opening up of the market in the USA could easily double the current turn over and current profits of GVC and when fully opened could be worth as much as 500p a share to GVC.

Market cap of GVC is now £5.3bln which ranks it 86th, just below Admiral Group and above Royal Mail, and gives GVC an automatic entry into the FTSE 100.

Currently a company needs a valuation of £5bln or above to automatically enter the FTSE 100.

Just for info, the only company that is currently in an automatic exit from the FTSE 100 to the FTSE 250 is G4S and the only other company that is in an automatic promotion spot for the FTSE 100 is Investec.

If you requested all shares then it will be the default distribution plus 33% of the additional cash allocated to shares

Looks like Halifax haven't done the LCL conversion to GVC shares yet.Computershare site looks more up-to-date.Mix and match looks to be a partial % if requested all shares. It appears I'm being forced to take 21.75p per LCL share if my sums are right :(

I came by the way of SBT being bought out - and buying gvc @£2.45 with the extra cash I was given and subsequently added at every opportunity, I have over 220k shares now, reduced by 10k taking profits, its one of my best holding along with cey

Joan of Arc

My first purchase was in December 2005, 5k at 364p. Those shares have earned 382p in divs. Add that to the more than doubling of the share price and it's been a bonanza, unlike any other share I have owned.

Like you I bought loads around 100p, purely because of the yield which actually reached just under 50% when the share collapsed to their low of 75p.

I remember analysts saying when the States open up it would initially be worth £2 a share for Bwin which may possibly give some idea of how GVC's share may go when the States start to really open up their market.

So where is GVC going next? I note that eps and dividends forecasts still don't exceed figures reached back in 2015, though of course the share price has gone up. I'm unsure what proportion of the benefit of the megamergers is reaching us shareholders.

Mylands , I too first bought GVC back in early 2005. On April 5th that year they stood at 821p on the offer so arguably if you loaded up then you wouldn't have done so well.
However if it wasn't for GVC I would now be nearly £700k poorer having made most of my purchases at around 100p or less.

cox - not really, GVC is an addiction stock, as long as it is managed well it will continue to grow and grow its profits.
