Same here, Festy. I took my dividend 'early' - so I'm ready to go anytime.

Hurry up and take your profits then guys, please... I would like to see the price dip so I can reinvest my dividend.I like to see the price of things I want to buy going down!

There was a large gap up between 800p and 828p. I'm not a total believer in gaps being filled, but I wouldn't completely discount it either.

Thanks FP.

I think i'm going to take profits and sit on the sidelines for the time being. Expect that profit taking will bring us back down towards 800p again in the near term.

860p close on Google Finance. So could be 845p open tomorrow.
Great finish to the day.

Do you have a link to the DB target, tia?

It'll be interesting to see what level it moves to tomorrow. I had been toying with the idea of dealing a few but assuming a markdown based on the exact dividend payout which I figure at c. 14p (fag packet), with such strong trading it's hard to see why it won't continue to rise. See DB raised target to 985 yesterday so seems like everyone's onboard!

Ex div tonight.

With the rise over 850p, I don't see much buying today to get the div of just under 15p. Still, to be close to the high we reached after the interims were announced is a pretty good performance. Roll on October 19th to get the first normal div after the div holiday.

OK, I took my dividend on a portion of my shareholding early today, which probably means £9 is just around the corner ...

That probable divi fall should be about 2% not 3% (dividenddata says 1.73%)

Keeps punching through 850p so hopeful as two days yet before the divi knocks it back 3%.

Doesn't seem that too many want to trade the highs ahead of the div deadlines, maybe it could ping up a touch more yet.

The company confirmed yesterday it would happen but that the exact date was TBC. Shouldn't be too deep into October I wouldn't think.

Is there a confirmed date for the October trading statement? I cannot find anything more specific than October. Thank you in advance.

Well done Noujay.

I was just about to post the reduction having seen the new holding figure for MW. You have saved me a posting. Well, maybe not now I have posted this!

Thanks Mylands, Hmmm, that policy didn't last long! Begs the question as to why? Under promise and over deliver as we have come to expect perhaps. Regards Maddox

Taken from the FD's report in the interims:

'The interim dividend is expected to represent 50% of the aggregate full year payout. As previously announced we will pursue a progressive dividend policy reflecting the growth in business and aiming to return no less than 50% of free cash flow.'

Nice chunky trade of 202,204 went through at a smidgen above the mid-closing price at 16.44, marked in blue.
