Extracted from a Motley Fool article just published:

"Over the last five years, the stock has risen from 190p to 839p, a gain of 340%, and the company has paid out some huge dividend cheques as well. Can the group's momentum continue? Judging by this morning's interim results, I believe it can.

Half-year results saw net gaming revenue rise 25%, or 10% on a pro forma basis, to ?486.2m, and adjusted profit before tax surged an impressive 99% to £101.9m. Adjusted fully diluted earnings came in at 0.31 cents per share, with the company declaring an interim dividend of 0.165"

"I believe GVC Holdings has the potential for further gains going forward."

The 2018 World Cup is only 9 months away now - plus we have the new Russian venture to capitalise on it locally in the next couple of months.

approx 3.5% annual dividend yield on a share that also provides plenty of capital growth is fine by me. For 'boring' stocks I look for at least 5% yield

Great results really and if they can perform thus in a comparatively difficult year to the last, 2018 should be a belter. Plenty to come here IMO and no reason there may not be specials to come, unless they have a chomp at another player.

"GVC Holdings PLC (LON:GVC)‘s stock had its “buy” rating restated by investment analysts at Numis Securities Ltd in a report released on Thursday. They presently have a GBX 985 ($12.72) price target on the stock".

Cheshire, I think that may leave room for a 'special' as Kenny clearly like to give us a nice surprise whenever possible. In any event, with capital gains like this.... I'm not complaining!!
