01/9/2017 15:13 | Berenberg reiterate GVC target: "Berenberg have set their target price at 920 GBX on its stock. This would indicate that the analyst believes there is a potential upside of 17.6% from the opening price of 782.5 GBX" | woodhawk
01/9/2017 14:32 | Good to see some positive action these last few days. The results should look good and followed up with the October update we should be finding some new highs. It would be good to have some commentary on the rationale for the LADS bid. Presumably they consider that either bricks and mortar have a meaningful role to play in the omni channel approach, or that the general regulatory climate is driving it. Of course that could just be an excuse to do a big deal! Either way personally I would prefer to see a deal for 888 or another meaningful online operator. | noujay
01/9/2017 12:52 | Yep, sector recovery all over the place with PTEC and others all rising | trentendboy
01/9/2017 11:20 | Good prospect of a close above £8 today. 14th for the interims. | fizzypop
31/8/2017 19:20 | Looks to me as though the economic case for going it alone is based on hope as no one can say for certain how leaving the EU will effect us. I am too old to really be hit by a long term down turn, not so my kids and grandchildren. I worry for them, that's why I need GVC to continue the upward trend we have seen for the last seven years and I can pass it on to them! | mylands
31/8/2017 18:15 | Easiest option on leaving is just replicate any excise duties on imports the EU imposes. Lets say its 10%. We already have 14% in the bank from the decline in sterling; whereas the 10% tariff imposed on EU imports would go straight to the treasury and reduce imports thus improving balance of payments. In time if that continues as a trend £ will strengthen again. | fenners66
31/8/2017 17:20 | Agee with you Shaker, the EU is a sinking ship and why anyone wants to be governed by a distant, centralised, non-democratic behemoth, is beyond me. Good to see GVC heading back up, onwards and upwards from here. HR | hanleyr
31/8/2017 16:35 | Well that is your opinion and you have every right to hold it of course! Mine differs | shaker44
31/8/2017 15:46 | Shaker I agree this board is about GVC NOT Brexit but my point is that as the realisation that the impact on the UK economy will be dire the one beneficiary will be GVC as the pound continues its downward plunge. It's a fact that still IMO has not been factored in to the share price | mylands
31/8/2017 15:32 | I don't want to turn this into a brexit board but it seems to me that the European population we really benefit from exporting to, is about 260m. There are another 7bn people on the planet. We can export to them unfettered by some of the stupid and bizarre European restrictions. Germany,France etc don't want to lose UK as an export market. European are afraid UK will become a tax haven. I am unconvinced European holds all the cards and certainly don't want our negotiators to have such a defeatist attitude. | shaker44
31/8/2017 15:13 | Brexit talks going badly is not going to help Sterling. So, a silver lining for GVC to the ever increasing black cloud hanging over the UK economy as the reality of the dire economic straits we are heading in to sinks in. Just my opinion but nothing our Chief Brexit negotiator says inspires me with any confidence when he obviously fails to appreciate that the EU holds all the cards. | mylands
31/8/2017 11:55 | Markets like certainty, even when it is a fine. At least its a known quantity that doesn't affect the long term prospects of the company. I still think 2018 will be the BIG year. CM. | cheshiremoggie
31/8/2017 10:36 | 888 fine helping sector (oddly). 888 also back in play. GVC could be interested | trentendboy
30/8/2017 14:58 | Nice move up today on a big volume, which is good to see. Also the RNS confirming the half year figures announcement date of September 14th, so just over two weeks to wait. | mylands

25/8/2017 16:52 | Gambling commission report today does not help | trentendboy
25/8/2017 15:29 | More like its following PTEC- bringing the whole sector down, I can't see anything wrong specifically with gvc, I added today, looking to add again over the next 2 weeks. | shayadfn
25/8/2017 12:41 | Fest - It is just an FT columnist's take on the recent failed negotiations between GVC & Ladrokes Coral. Nothing new in there. | speedsgh |
