Most days Plasybryn yes! It actually does... and helped me make a few bob whilst still keeping my total GVC shares intact at the end of the day or week. But the day it goes wrong is the day you start to rely on it.... and you end up chasing the higher prices.

Well spotted. Looked at the Event Calendar a few days ago and it just showed July as the trading update, now it has 7th July.

Pretty soon after the ending of the quarter. Does that indicate it's good news which they want to get out quickly?

You may well be right though as we have been 'warned' by Kenny this quarter in comparison to the same quarter last year does not have a major footie competition.

What I am hoping for is a special div, but maybe that is asking for too much!

mylands,I would have thought so,if they want to make profit.GVC is not going to stay at 750 ish for long.The next update will send us back to £8 and beyond.

Since early March Marshall Wace have increased their short holding from 0.57% in 10 upward steps to 1.4% on June 28th and then on June 29th they reduced their exposure by 0.01% to 1.39%.

I wonder if they are starting to unwind their positions following the fall of virtually 10% in the share price since the high in May?

Can't see any other gaming operators they are short on at first glance.Another steady update will see this back on track, the fundamentals should only be strengthening and it continues to generate cash.If it performs well this calendar year, which it has so far, then next year should be stellar.

It's the only correct answer Nurdin, unless you suspect they are guilty of insider trading?You'll probably find that they have decided that the whole gaming sector is ripe for a pullback. After all, WMH, PTEC, 888 and others have identical charts to us in recent weeks.

To make money... and they are doing.If we knew when shorters decide to close, we could make money on the way up. But we never do.Back in Feb it was obvious, a rapid rise from 590p made it clear, and took us to new highs.I suggest that shorters will need to close in the next 2 weeks, prior to the trading update... or they'll start to lose their gains very quickly.

Just noticed that Marshall Wace have steadily been increasing their short position in GVC to the highest level they have had of 1.4% on June 28th

That's some exposure and maybe the reason for the decline in the share price

This agreement was apparently expected to be signed early in June. Perhaps the lack of news was behind the share price decline in the later part of month ? The latest news could reverse the trend quickly I feel!

There called mm' s ,finance institutions who make there money moving the share prices around enticing punters to buy and sell ....arn't they?Unless there is news which helps them move the share price around even more

Regulators don't worry me, they don't span the whole globe do they?Geographical diversification is the key to holding this share, through good news and bad.

Nurdin, if someone knew something dodgy, don't you think the volume would be much higher?
