25/3/2019 16:58 | Dear Friends of Gusbourne, The 2014 vintage was a special one in England, with fine weather and ripe fruit resulting in early picking. We released our Brut Reserve from this same vintage last year but have been eagerly anticipating this release for some time. We have enjoyed hot years in the past, such as 2009 and 2011, but 2014 represents a bit of a watershed moment for us, especially with regards to the levels of ripeness we could achieve. The wine shows lovely weight that is balanced by its acidity. We are really excited by how it has developed and the different spectrum of flavours that it offers – moving away from classic English heightened citrus, to evolved orchard fruits. Our 2014 Blanc de Blancs has spent 42 months on its lees now, so it is starting to pick up tertiary flavours too. We used only our own fruit from 14 different vineyards over two sites to achieve complexity and find harmony in the wine. We are delighted that it expresses the character of the sites and the year that it is from. Personally, I love the mineral oyster shell, sea-salt character that it presents. 2014 was a ground-breaking year for Gusbourne and I hope you will enjoy this Blanc de Blancs as much as I do. Yours sincerely, Charlie Holland Winemaker | ayl30

30/8/2018 08:47 | Hi JAF, I bought in after reading the FT article, GUS sounded a great story and I like 'niche' companies where the barrier to entry is high.A bit of diversification in my p/f to an 'alternative' investment seemed a good idea too. Lets hope it continues to prosper, I would have thought harvest this year would be good | ayl30
30/8/2018 08:27 | Yes very quiet..... Price motoring....I wonder whether the planned equity issue @ 60p is now no more....and that something else underway..... Either way an announcement due soon - deadline for the proposed fundraise 31 August...... | jaf111

11/1/2018 16:39 | "?" indeed... The share price is bouncing around on a daily turnover of shares of about 5,000, yet today we have seen about 22,000 change hands? All pretty small beer except for the share price increase... | roddyb
12/2/2016 17:36 | Gusbourne may have great wine but I am concerned that our 64% shareholder was not in the best of health last year and should, GF, anything happen - won't his 64% head straight back to the market? He is obviously entitled to his rights of privacy but in these instances it would give more comfort to investors to have an agreed succession plan published? | roddyb
