Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to visit the Kurdistan Region and Iraq next week for talks with senior officials from both sides.According to the Turkish newspaper the Daily Sabah, Erdogan will arrive in Baghdad on April 22 for his first official visit to Iraq in 12 years.Although it has not yet been officially announced, Erdogan is also expected to visit the Kurdistan Region to meet with senior officials.

April 15, 2024The Association of the Petroleum Industry of Kurdistan appreciates President Biden and Prime  Minister Sudani's emphasis on swiftly restoring exports through the Iraq-Türkiye pipeline, during their  White House meeting. APIKUR remains ready to immediately continue discussions with Government of Iraq and Kurdistan  Regional Government officials to restore exports through the ITP, while preserving sanctity of current  fiscal terms, and ensuring surety of past and future oil payments through formal written agreements. We wish Prime Minister Sudani, and his delegation, continued success throughout their United States visit. "The $10 billion in investments made by APIKUR member companies in Iraq's Kurdistan Region oil  and gas sector helps achieve Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani's economic and energy  goals expressed during his meeting with President Biden at the White House," said Myles B. Caggins  III, APIKUR spokesman. "APIKUR member companies are intensely focused on cooperating with  Government of Iraq and Kurdistan Regional Government officials to resume oil exports through the  Iraq-Türkiye pipeline as soon as possible."

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has called for the resumption of oil exports from the Kurdistan Region. This will affect the work of oil companies in the Kurdistan Region," Dylan Ghafoor, chairman of the Iraqi parliament's foreign relations committee, told Rudaw Iraq."The main problem is the financial entitlements of oil producing companies in the Kurdistan Region, the law based on the criteria of the Federal Oil Ministry to pay the entitlements, which is about $ 7 per barrel, while this cost in the Kurdistan Region is about four times. Dylan Ghafoor said the Iraqi prime minister said he had handed over the issue to one of his advisors and there are two solutions to resolve the issue of suspending oil exports from the Kurdistan Region, namely amending the Iraqi budget law, or amend the oil contracts.

The following statement was released by the Governments of the United States of America and the Republic of Iraq.Begin text:The delegation of the Republic of Iraq, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning Mohammed Tamim, and the delegation of the United States Government, led by Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken, co-chaired a meeting of the Higher Coordinating Committee today, April 15, in accordance with the 2008 U.S.-Iraq Strategic Framework Agreement.  The two sides reaffirmed the importance of the bilateral partnership and Iraq's critical role in regional security and prosperity.  The delegations expressed the desire to expand the depth and breadth of the relationship between our two countries, including in the areas of energy independence, financial reform, services for the Iraqi people, strengthening democracy and the rule of law, and enhancing educational and cultural relations.  Representatives from Iraq's Kurdistan Regional Government also participated.The U.S. and Iraqi delegations shared the view that Iraq has the potential to harness immense natural gas resources, invest in new energy infrastructure and renewables, and achieve energy self-sufficiency by 2030.  The United States commended Iraq for its progress on gas capture and work on commercializing associated gases.  Significant gas potential in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region (IKR) is a key component of Iraq's energy security, as is increased private sector investment.  To allow Iraq to benefit from the U.S. private sector's leading technology and expertise, the United States and Iraq announced the signing of new memoranda of understanding (MOUs) to capture and process flared gas and turn it into usable electricity for the Iraqi people.  Also, the two sides stressed the importance of resuming oil exports via the Iraq-Turkiye Pipeline (ITP).

mmt1 - Can you elaborate? is 2nd pipeline being repaired for crude exports in near future and if so is APIKUR production likely to be included in the mix??

There is nothing in public domain via any RNS that indicates possible alternative export route as far as I'm aware?

More because it's low ratio to debt and like most companies on the LSE completely undervalued.BP and Shell both looking at a move to US exchange for realistic value
