The shale sector is a hotbed of consolidation talk as oil companies compete for the best drilling portfolios in the Permian basin, North America’s biggest source of crude. Production from that region of West Texas and New Mexico has doubled in just six years to the point where it yields more oil on a daily basis than OPEC heavyweight Iraq.

That robust expansion has exhausted some of the Permian’s highest-quality drilling targets, and companies are turning to acquisitions to shore up future productive capacity. Investors have a lot on the line because a deep bench of untapped reserves are the best guarantee that generous dividends can be maintained in the long term.

Yet again Carroll you interpret a genuine post into something you want to read.

I'm doing nothing of the sort as regards buying or selling shares. Although I reckon the share price will climb materially at the first sign of the quality oil/your sludge entering the pipe. But will it keep climbing or reverse when new terms are known?

You suckers tell yourselves the terms will either not be altered or will be better than those currently enjoyed. Most unlikely. Can you not see that Baghdad/SOMO have taken control and are out to dictate how the Kurd oil Industry functions? You've already seen how Apikur have reacted along with the hosts. Do their rants, objections and begging letters seem as though they are happy?

What's the betting that the Arab countries will use the oil price to batter the International Community for it's support of Israel. We might need to hang onto our hats once we're exporting again.

I'd say you've invested in the wrong share if you think that as they might kick Western companies out of the ME and let Russian companies have the assets.

Talk about cheek. Some Belgium entity is holding 200 odd billion dollars of russian money and is making interest from it and they are going to send it to help ukrain.

Plus thoughts about Israel.

Israel gets attacked and the deep state glamours for righteous retaliation., Russian people living in the ukrain Donbas area are bombed by zelensky and ukrain for 6 years and when Russia defends it's people, deep state is disgusted. Sickening world.
