Washington to resolve oil export dispute between Baghdad and Kurdistan

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The US administration confirmed on Wednesday its commitment to support the Kurdistan region and to increase efforts to resolve problems with the federal government in Baghdad, especially the dispute over oil and gas.

A statement issued by Kurdistan’s cabinet mentioned that Kurdistan Region Prime Minister, Masrour Barzani, met on Wednesday with the US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Barbara Leaf, where both discussed developing the relations between the United States and the Kurdistan Region and the latest developments related to the Iraqi political situation.

Leaf confirmed her country’s commitment to continue supporting the Kurdistan region and the Peshmerga, according to the statement.

Leaf stressed the need to intensify efforts to solve problems between the region and the federal government, especially the disagreements over the oil and gas issue that needs to be resolved through dialogue and negotiations, as failure to resolve it will negatively affect Iraq’s security and stability, the statement mentioned.

Barzani talked about the reforms implemented by the government in terms of diversifying the economy and sources of revenue as well as building a strong infrastructure, the statement added.

Barzani stressed that the people of Kurdistan sacrificed a lot for their rights, thus, they are not ready to give up their constitutional rights under any pressure. He also pointed out to Kurdistan Region’s desire to solve problems in accordance with the constitution.

How about we discuss Kozel's made up fantasy barrels now that the hosts have owned up about their fabled "45b" which they now state are way less than 3b. How about we all use a number of 2.5b to take account of the "15%-20% year on year decrease? I bet Baghdad are laughing at the numbers. 2.5b versus 140b down South!!!

It's no wonder an ex CEO is attributed as stating the barrels were "over exaggerated" innit:-)

Asset value £1.50ps or is that a little optimistic? Add in a premium and £2ps ish in a merger?

Highlander, Yes agreed, and Spain gets 50% from solar and wind,so not as badly affected by gas shortages. Spain has been slow in encouraging solar on houses but now the brakes have been released so expect the 50% solar to grow quickly.
Just making the contrast in prices.

Thats because Spain's gas isnt sourced directly or indirectly from Russia. Unlike the EU and the UK ( who import Russian gas from the EU but call it "EU Gas "

Truss had to cave in because of the don't pay your bill brigade which I supported. This may have been the plan all along under the wef project fear.
MY BILL in August in the 35c Spanish August heat was 100 euro with the aircon on for 15 hours a day.
THE UK is being ripped off with wholesale gas 5 times higher than Spain.

Brent Crude. --- Elliott Wave pattern

Brent crude made a clear 5 wave move from around $20 up to a peak of $140.

From $140 there was a sharp move down to $100. A move down of $40. The A wave

That was followed by a B wave corrective phase ending at $125 in June this year.

The C wave down is very often the same length as the A wave, which was $40.
So from the C wave starting at $125, the target is around $85.

That would complete a corrective A-B-C move following the 5 waves up.
