Groundwater levels fall in Duhok.

According to the Directorate of Water Outskirts in Duhok, groundwater levels have fallen by 15 to 20 metres in the whole province.

Sheikhan and Semel are the most affected districts in the province.

“Compared to the last three to four years, wells in Bardarash now need to go 30 to 40 meters deeper to reach the water. Sheikhan and Semel saw a decrease of 60 to 70 metres,” said Khalat Abubakir, a water service official in Duhok.



Erbil underground water levels decreased 500 meters over 20 years.

"in 2003, one would need to dig 200 meters deep into the ground in Erbil, while in 2022, a well has to go as deep as 700 meters."

Unfortunately Biden wont support the Kurds . Trump will however , when the Republicans return to overall Control in the November mid term elections.

In the meantime the Kurds need to unite and take the ICG on collectively. Its the only way they will win. A fact the ICG are well aware of. Hence the fun and games - to sow disunity - and its working.
