ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Iraq's Oil Minister on Wednesday said that Baghdad has officially sent the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) documents asking for the oil produced in the Region to be handed over to Iraq's State Organization for Marketing of Oil (SOMO) in order to resume Kurdish oil exports through Turkey."We have sent a letter to the KRG asking them to hand over the oil produced in these [The Kurdistan Region's] oil fields to the oil marketing firm, SOMO," Iraq Oil Minister Hayyan Abdul Ghani told Rudaw's Diyar Kurda in Washington. "We have asked them [KRG] to handover this oil to export it through the Iraq-Turkey pipeline to Ceyhan port," he added.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Iraqi Oil Minister Hayyan Abdul Ghani on Wednesday told Kurdistan24 that they are currently engaged in talks with the Kurdistan Region regarding the exportation of oil.The Iraqi Oil Minister also stated that oil production in the Kurdistan Region ranges from 375,000 to 400,000 barrels per day, as per the Iraqi budget." We will resume production and export of oil from the fields in the Kurdistan Region," Ghani noted and added, " The Ministry of Electricity has recently signed a contract with a gas investment company operating in one of the fields located in the Kurdistan Region. The purpose of this agreement is to facilitate the transportation of 100 million cubic feet of natural gas."

@Millicusto, seeing as the KRG is desperate for the monies from Baghdad to pay its civil service employees hopefully it will be as quick as PeteBreeze's Arabic Swift.

Which, of course, is not as fast as a(n) European Swallow.

Interesting bit below. Is he talking about the pipeline that’s just been fixed/is due to be fixed very soon??

The Iraqi #Oil Ministry has said it is "necessary" for the #KRG to provide copies of contracts with IOCs, so that they can be investigated and adapted to the Iraqi constitution.

Erdogan doesn't want much does he ,cheap oil and gas, preferential treatment of Turkish Cos ,PKK outlawed in their own country and Iraq to be grateful for water that is rightly theirs . Sooner he is dead the better for the ME . Same for Maliki too.
