I suppose there could be many twists to what could happen now. I would like to be a fly on the wall in Bagdad.
One would think that the weight of doing the right thing is on Bagdad, but we wait and see, like the past 20 odd years.

The statement from Turkey stating that the pipeline is ready removes any further excuses from the ICG AND opens them up to claims for compensation IF they still block/refuse to allow Kurdish production to start.

Its a rock and a hard place for this lot.

Caggins, spokesman for the Association of the Petroleum Industry of Kurdistan (APIKUR), told Rudaw APIKUR members have not received $1 billion in entitlements, which they must receive before they "fully" restart production.

So payments of around $1bn on their way or ICG forego $1bn a month plus indefinitely!

As I described yesterday APIKUR and 400 k bopd is a very strong negotiating posn.

For sure mate. They still have to close those short positions at some stage though. Once they have their quota they will be happy to buy back into a rising price.

Things are definitely hotting up here Turkey has said pipeline is ready for Operation if Iraq doesn't restart then Turkey can now hold Iraq in breach of the 1973 pipeline agreement wow did not think I would be saying that the pipeline will be starting very soon in my honest opinion

Only problem is the APIKUR statement on their website yesterday doesn't seem very encouraging to me that progress has been made with IOC's demands.

SS I think we have to be careful how we view so called hedge fund shorters.They have borrowed stock, but you need stock to manipulate the market.I suspect their clients are building long positions, as the hedges try to suppress the mkt pre all the big news...backpayments,restart exports, restart divs, m and a etc

Come on, come on, come on bagdad get your pen out and commit to sending the owed billion back to the oil company you owe(stole) money to, A commitment apostled by London to pay 50 million per month for 20 months would be a welcome and productive offer. Come on, come on!?!
