Political parties have approved al-Halboosi's initiative, source says

A source close to Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi revealed that the latter's recent initiative was approved and supported by al-Siyada coalition, the Sadrist movement, and the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

He added that discussions between the party members of the Homeland rescue coalition are still ongoing, noting that Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi will support the initiative.

Al-Halboosi said that the national dialogue in Iraq shall touch upon the Baghdad-Erbil disputes over the management of the Kurdistan region's oil wealth and reconsider the deployment of the security forces in the major cities.

In a tweet he posted earlier today, al-Halboosi rolled out a list of contentious points he believes shall crack the agenda of the national dialogue meetings.

The parliament speaker said that the dialogue meetings shall agree on a date for an early parliamentary election, elect a president, and assemble a "consensus government with full powers".

Al-Halboosi said that the national dialogue talks shall also agree on "an interpretation for Article 76 of the constitution and annul the shameful circumvention that tampers with the provisions of this article", referring to the political pressures that followed the 2010 election.

He also called for passing the federal budget, "keeping or amending" the parliamentary election law, and enacting a law on the federal court in accordance with Article 92 of the constitution.

Al-Halboosi said that the national dialogue talks must agree on a redeployment plan for the security and military forces, with the Iraqi Interior Ministry exclusively controlling the cities.

The list said that the political forces partaking in the meetings shall discuss "the immediate return of Internally displaced persons to their hometowns" and organize the ties between the Federal and Kurdistan Regional Governments per an interim agreement that stays in force until passing a law on the oil and gas wealth.

The "timing" of his negativity is interesting imo.

Debt free--Low lifting costs---massive explo upside---onshore, seem to be missing.

Krg acceleration of paying off debt owed to GKP ahead of other Companies says relations are improving.

Nuff said.

There has been too many signals to us LTH this last six months to ignore that the end is near, so if we have to wait another few months to receive our just rewards - so be it - the Moneyweek article clearly states the past history but they are not in the "Loop" when it comes to the Prize that we will receive in the near future.

Any GKP news is good news & even though he has clearly tried to temper the GKP fervour, he has publicised that GKP is a Dividend Machine CASH COW throwing off a 20 PERCENT YIELD at a time of high inflation; rising interest rates & rising energy bills.

His article will do the opposite of what he wanted & help us gain further GKP share price traction.

After all, how many companies are there on the Stockmarket right now offering a 20 percent yield in increasing tough times due to Russias involvement in Ukraine.

And of course Mr Rupert Hargreaves, a possible sale of GKP bubbling away in the background with the recent GKP appointment of a Bermudian based NED Wanda Mwaura, who appears to be there to hold hands through post sale amalgamated entity, as is her experience.

Theres the old adage, invest where others fear to tread. Rupert, I & many others will continue to do the exact opposite of your article sentiment.

The actual production figures ...thanks to LSE

The average production figures by year:

Year Average Production

2015 30,500 bopd
2016 34,794 bopd
2017 35,298 bopd
2018 31,563 bopd
2019 32,883 bopd
2020 36,625 bopd
2021 43,440 bopd
2022 45,000 bopd so far

It is clear from the annual production rates figures that since 2018 significant progress has been achieved albeit much slower than planned and hoped for. I think this trend will continue well into 2023.

Investors Chronicle,September 1, 2022 By Alex Hamer"Kurdistan oil company spewing out cash from low-cost operations, although regional tensions could have an impact this year""Peel Hunt analyst Werner Riding flagged the regional tensions but said the dividend yield provided â€Å"more than adequate compensation for the risk of operating in Kurdistanâ€?. He has forecast 2022 as a peak for the company, with cash profits hitting $400mn this year (up from $223mn in 2021) before dropping back slightly to $393mn in 2023.While being aware that very high yields do have downsides, we stick with our positive call. BUY AS MANY AS POSSIBLE BEFORE IMMINENT TAKEOVER.".
