Gulf Keystone payout surges on oil price

Investors Chronicle
September 1, 2022
By Alex Hamer

"Kurdistan oil company spewing out cash from low-cost operations, although regional tensions could have an impact this year"

"Peel Hunt analyst Werner Riding flagged the regional tensions but said the dividend yield provided “more than adequate compensation for the risk of operating in Kurdistan”. He has forecast 2022 as a peak for the company, with cash profits hitting $400mn this year (up from $223mn in 2021) before dropping back slightly to $393mn in 2023.

While being aware that very high yields do have downsides, we stick with our positive call. Buy."

He also claims to have bought GKP at its very near low during the pandemic, and today he claims he sold some of his holding near the very recent high of £3.15.

Pull the other one fella.

Ah yes our "expert" PUTUP who carefully informed us that GKP was on AIM when he first posted about 10 minutes ago - relatively speaking.

PUTUP our Yankee paid stooge on LSE - says the results "sucked" a very common English ......sorry Yankee expression - what a clown he is.
Extends his bashing to participants on Twitter too....
What a transparent clown - no doubt Yankee Doodle Condog will surface shortly.

IOCs have to be aware of what the pension funds think GC , nothing to do with the USA administration. Unchartered waters we are in, if we weren't the share price would be £10 .

I told you so! I hate this expression, but this is what I wrote back in March.

hxxps://en.investorblog.gr/why-buy-gulf-keystone-upcycle/

and now,

Gulf Keystone announced $162 million in net profit, $177 million of cash flows in 6 months, and so far $215 million of dividends in 2022.
I bought back in January (and increased in slightly higher prices) for just (189p per share) £400 million or $466 million!
I have already got almost half of my investment back in dividends in less than a year😅.
Ok, the Kurdish Administration is under the threat of the Iraqi central government or Turkey may bomb them, or Iran. I think it is worth it when you get 50% like dividend yields!

"Just thought I’d drop in and see how my predictions from years ago are holding up lol."

Not very well I'm afraid Tony. Here's just one example from only a few weeks ago:-

24th June - "Just thought I'd point out that I predicted that SH15 wouldn't be a good well."

The very same day we had an RNS telling us that Sh-15 had been drilled in record time and brought online in April at over 4,000 bpd.

As usual your goatcam network was asleep at the wheel.

Interesting webinar.
Financials spectacular - particularly relative to peers.
The continuing FDP delay is no surprise - that is effectively what has been for sale.
I am not convinced we will see that new FDP in the public domain pre takeover.
BTW Nestoframpers - HCL agreement is probably as likely as Elvis being discovered still alive and living in Torquay.
It won't affect the ownership of companies. It is clear the US are taking no more nonsense from Baghdad or Iran.

"The State Department summoned U.S. law firm Vinson & Elkins, which is representing Iraq’s oil ministry in Baghdad, for a briefing in Washington on the ITP dispute in July."

Wonder what was said ?

Looks like Divis till HCL then.

So just some supply issues from the current general world supply problems, nothing relating to any service contacts impacted by the ICG / KRG ongoing spat. GKP unaffected by this, no letter from Baghdad and no related service issues.
