Canaccord Genuity increases TP to 370

The company is now debt free. This anticipated update comes on the back of recent receipt of net $38m payment for April crude sales and payments of a $25m ordinary dividend on 15 July and a $50m special dividend on 29 July.

The issue of the legality of the PSCs has already been resolved in the KRGs' favour in the English High Court.

Try to keep up ffs.

Many of us remember that a couple of years ago an Iraqi company called Dynasty Company for Oil & Gas Trading took the KRG to the London High Court over a deal with Repsol.

In court the right of the KRG under the Constitution to enter into PSCs with the IOCs was forensically examined by the highest legal boffins in the field on both sides.

Last year that London court decided that the KRG had every right under the Constitution to sign PSCs with IOCs.

From the summing up of the presiding Commercial High Court judge Justice Sir C.J.Butcher:-

"In my judgement, the entry into by the KRG of the PSCs were "sovereign or public acts" or acts jure imperii. They were entered into pursuant to powers which, as I have found, were allocated to the KRG under the Constitution, and under the KROGL (Kurdistan Region Oil and Gas Law), which was enacted to give effect to those powers. I conclude that the entry into of the PSCs was in the exercise of sovereign authority."

That is the court case that Queens Councel and international arbitrator Jeffrey M. Sullivan referred to 10 days ago in his interview with Rudaw when he said that the Federal Government can be held liable for the PSCs because in signing them the KRG were acting with sovereign authority under the Constitution.

The ICG oil minister knows that, which is why he's now backpedalling and trying to blame the media for exaggerating the issue.

Baghdad aren't and never were serious, they were just trying it on under instruction from their political masters in Tehran.

I presume another piece of guesswork entrapping a few into believing. Gkp has been in a sale process for as long as I can remember there have been substantial rumours recently but nothing has become of them. If a sale happens then it will come out of the blue when least expected so no amount of guesswork on here will further that forward.
