"...GKP could easily pay out the same dividend again the second half of this year without even breaking a sweat."

Thanks Turvart, that will do admirably :0))

Too right 0ili0 & as a LTH 💪, I want to benefit from their games. They are slowly walking it back down this morning to let in big buyers 🌳🤝

They are in control & they want GKP in the red today 👍

And you know what the R-factor is, what the cost recovery pool is, what cost oil and profit oil are, and you did your forecast to take into account how the PSC describes revenues are to be shared?

It is true I suffered a substantial paper loss on MPE yesterday, but that doesn't change my point about GKP probably being cheap (the low PE) all for a very good reason perhaps because the forward PE ratio will rise as eps fall in 2023 (and therefore the shares being fairly valued) because of the cost recovery pool's rapid depletion and a change in R-factor.

Here comes the red as they will want a piece of the action 💪

Get ready for another treeshake 🌳🤝 as the enormity of the forthcoming GKP Dividend payment percolates through 👍

The board have clearly signalled that they aren't using the excess cash for operational purposes, by distributing it as dividends instead. I see no reason why this won't continue.

I hate to bore peeps but shareholders should study capital structure. That is the mix of debt and equity a co uses to finance itself.Gkp has far too little debt.It should have borrowed a lot more cash used it to accelerate higher prodn yrs back but never has.Because that was never the plan. The plan clearly was to get phase 1 done, prep and dress up the co for sale , and transition to grown up IOC operations when under new ownership. However they have banged on for months about optimization of capital structure. That means more debt, and one way or another s very large buyback of stock ,pre sale. That I expect coming next.

Bubblingup,

GKP is relatively new to me so I don't really have experience how the BOD will act with future dividends, maybe this is a question the LTH's may give a better guessed answer.

As for the Fundamentals I do understand and bearing in mind these payments are 3 months behind and April payment reported on 4th August, then we have outstanding RNS payment figures to look forward to. Last year the earnings per share (EPS) was 58p don't get EPS mixed up with dividends per share (DPS), this year 2022 I predict EPS will be 145p or even higher so IMO I think GKP could easily pay out the same dividend again the second half of this year without even breaking a sweat.

Sorry I can't be more specific but I just don't know how the BOD will play it.

Turvart, how much more cash do you think the company will return to us in dividends in 2022, apart from the $25M July payment already proposed?

RNS.

Dividend Payment.

On announcing Gulf Keystone's 2021 Full Year Results on 30 March 2022, the Company declared an interim dividend of $65 million.

The payment is equivalent to 30.313 US cents per Common Share of the Company. It has been converted into pounds sterling at a rate of $1:£0.7844 prevailing on 25 April 2022, and hence a dividend of 23.778p per Common Share will be paid on 13 May 2022 to those shareholders on the register of members of the Company as at 29 April 2022.
