08/7/2021 14:44 | As I posted several months ago the Chinese have moved into Iran with their deals and were doing same with Iraq. Of course that prompeted h7 to state I was wrong but as usual I'm correct. So why would the Chinese be interested in a couple of hundred million barrels which could be materially less what with the OWC being found at least 200m higher than they were expecting? And the Russians pulling out as well. The Yanks have pulled out of Kurdistan. Seems to be a trend n'est ce pas? I wonder what the Insti's are thinking now. I bet its they wished they had dumped at £3ps years ago having reached that dizzy height on hype and spin that didn't materialise. They didn't take the company for pittance only to be still invested 5 years later taking divis and buybacks. Cheapo merger on the horizon? | bigdog5

You should all realise that h7 has spun you BS for 10 years and continues to do so. Rampers have always had issues with the facts and reality. Eleven years on, 12 wells, mid forties production which took 6.5 years to get back to and zero signs of the Kozel BS barrels that were imho exagerated out of all proportions for his own gain/those with vested interests. No references made to those barrels ever since Kozel kicked out. Says it all doesn't it? | bigdog5
08/7/2021 13:43 | Presumably Ian, once in Treasury they can do what ever they like with them? | eddie47
08/7/2021 13:25 | Eddie.Yes they don't have to cancel it once taken into Treasury. In normal life they would. However let's say their proxy has bought 25% say 55m shares or so and the Co buys them into Treasury, it becomes the biggest shareholder in its own stock. It can't vote them, it can agree to sell them to whoever bids the most :)All sorts of possibilities.... | ian_hannam
08/7/2021 13:14 | Ian, what if they don't cancel the bought stock? | eddie47
08/7/2021 12:59 | FTSE down 2% and following all major markets on concerns as below: | pensioner2
08/7/2021 12:50 | There are 2 types of buyback they have authority to make:1. In market up to 10% of equity. That isn't happening, until they tell the market!!!! 2. Buying equity on any terms the board see fit..... That is what we should hope their proxy has been doing for 2-3years. They then use their cash/new debt to buyback that hopefully big lump 10-25%(to pay their proxies bill) cancel all that stock, and that is.... drum roll a LEVERAGED RECAPITALISATION | ian_hannam
08/7/2021 12:35 | Whatever happened to Kuoc? | k4n4k
08/7/2021 12:32 | With the drop in sp, closing of the gap and the zero trades going through I believe a market buyback is underway. We might see it held at this level for some time until they issue an rns. (imo). | pensioner2

08/7/2021 12:24 | Oil: Target raised to $85 as OPEC unity is under threat – ANZ NEWS | 7/8/2021 7:17:53 AM GMT | By FXStreet Insights Team The failure of OPEC+ members to agree to supply increases in August presents challenges for the oil market. In the absence of a deal, the current production cuts remain in place. This will see the market tighten further as demand surges amid easing travel restrictions over the northern summer holiday period. Economists at ANZ Bank have subsequently raised their short-term (0-3m) target to $85/bbl. OPEC disunity threatens to disrupt the oil market “Amid strong demand, no additional supply from OPEC in August would see crude oil markets tighten. However, a lack of unity in the group presents a real risk over the medium-term.” “It appears the current production cuts will remain. Saudi Arabia’s Energy Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, seemed to confirm this after the talks broke down, when he said the current deal (5.7mb/d of cuts) would stay. This is likely to tighten the market.” | beernut
