14/9/2015 14:20 | The listing itself, and the amount in fees coming out of the co every year, are well worth a question too, as is asking how they intend to meet the cost of redeeming the convertibles in c.18 months time. | spectoacc
11/9/2015 18:36 | Why does this company issue so many NAV RNSes? At 300-odd quid a shot surely that isn't best use of funds? Most investment companies I have seen issue them monthly or quarterly. | cyberbub

15/7/2014 19:01 | bozzy - not invested here but have been watching. Investee companies were in a holding 4 month period . GRIT Ipo'd in March I guess all 41 juniors are free to sell now and all seem to be in desperate need of cash funds. Clearly GRIT have not been able to place the shares at anywhere near their NAV hard to tell whether there is more on the downside yet to come? I am holding off until Sept to assess the position but it does look tempting as some of the juniors look exciting plays. bageo - thanks for setting up the thread. | xcap
15/7/2014 17:29 | Post 1 looks like good foresight. Seems this is a vehicle for raising funds for smallcap junior E&P companies. Someone was happy to sell today for 68% below the issue price, and over 50% below the supposed net asset value per GRIT share. Does this present a buying opportunity at about 50% discount to the market price for a portfolio of junior miners? Or does it highlight the desperate situation some of their portfolio companies are in? | bozzy_s

31/3/2014 14:30 | True GRIT? Global Resources Investment Trust eyes revival in mining sector Drilling deep for value: the mining sector looks set for a revival, says Hutchins. "Investing in the small-cap natural resources sector can prove a bit of a lottery even for the most experienced and battle hardened stock-picker. Building on their major success with the Resources Investment Trust, founded in 2002 and wound up in 2008, Sam Hutchins and Kjeld Thygesen have returned with the Global Resources Investment Trust (GRIT)...." 11/3/2014 11:13 | @ bageo ...............for info......... threadworm 10 Mar'14 - 19:59 - 6299 of 6305 (FTE bb) hxxp://www.stockmark Forte Energy in share exchange with GRIT 10 March 2014 | 16:03pm StockMarketWire.com - Forte Energy has entered into a share exchange agreement with Global Resources Investment Trust. Forte Energy says its board believes that this transaction with GRIT, a new company recently admitted to the main market of the London Stock Exchange, founded by a group of highly successful fund managers to focus exclusively on investing in the junior mining sector, will provide the company with an important new strategic investor and will support Forte Energy's investment policy to identify and develop uranium assets. At 4:03pm: [LON:FTE] Forte Energy NL share price was +0.03p at 0.43p | whibbled
29/11/2013 20:33 | I've come across a few mentions of GRIT. Essentially it will be issuing its shares to junior miners in exchange for some of their shares, these junior miners can then sell GRIT shares to raise money. There was a similar concept a few years ago and the juniors often seemed to raise a lot less than they expected as so many people were selling. I'd be interested to see how many companies are involved - please post if you see anything Current references I've seen include Portex Minerals Tirex Resources | bageo |
