We reached £1.60 peak long before the issue of TWO additional licences and a MAJOR updated JORC both of which now facilitate a staged increase in production upmto 1.5 million tonnes of zinc, gold and silver with a clear potential of furtherreserve updates. As such barring a major mining accident ( the have an exemplary safety record) the only remaining key driver is commodity prices. Many analysts still believe we are entering a medium term super cycle but let's keep our feet in the ground and think forward based on current commodity prices. We know that substantially all fixed costs are in place and as such the aisc of all outputs should reduce which means more profit directly to the bottom line. The July H1 figures will give everyone interested a clear indication of ongoing fair value which given the above in anyone's book has got to be IMHO somewhere either side of £2.50 even with a below peer P/E due to operating in China. Counter views or calculations very welcome.

Just building a new base from here. It has bagged in less than two months. Actually quite surprised it hasn't retraced more, given the weakness in the mining index.

Only one buyer in town at the moment
It would be great to have some excellent Q1 production numbers

What a really pleasant change in the tenor of the BB at present, lots of posts on a wide variety of subjects with disagreements cheerfully accepted- long may it continue.
One final word re the possible take over. When the price was in the 30s or so our two large holders took the opportunity to increase their stakes fairly substantially rather than bid. What lies behind it all I don’t know.

Nar Alan, if they do I'll start on about the D word verses the BB. :-)Only joking guys! I think both views have been beaten to death. Zoo

ARP, I know none taken. Just banter on who outside of Griffin could take us forward as we wait for the round of updates. We could have Nicola as has been suggested and Alex as well. There would be little work done but the infighting would be something else. :-) Zoo

ARP, I think not! I was with Maggie to break them. My personal view is that unions got far too big for their boots nor am I a Labour supporter. Never have been never will be. :-))Zoo

If we’re running the gaff then We want ‘everybody working down them there mines digging out the zinc and gold’. Unfortunately the company rules are that you have to work starkers to stop you hiding gold nuggets and hav3 to go through a metal detector on the way out. Who said I started life out as an auditor ???

No thanks I'm not a people person. I rather had in mind Zoo for that role but you have already promoted him. Alternatively either Rose or Phillis would be ideal.

Oh dear our recruitment drive is not going very well, we’ve all obviously either enjoying retirement too much or got too much money or, in some cases, both 😂

TheA. Now now let’s not get others started on Scottish politics. I know from my many years experience as number 2 and being the statutory Monitoring Officer at a very large Council the trials and tribulations of having to deal with politicians virtually on a daily basis. If you want the HR job send me your CV and I will put a good word in for you when I give the boss his coffee and extra favourite biscuits !

ARP, isnt Greens money in his wife's name? He's such a caring person.... Not..... I wonder if he will end up slipping of his yacht? Gordon would give the mine away under the guise of keeping up foreign relations and maybe throw some gold in as well. :-))Zoo
