TheA. Now now let’s not get others started on Scottish politics. I know from my many years experience as number 2 and being the statutory Monitoring Officer at a very large Council the trials and tribulations of having to deal with politicians virtually on a daily basis. If you want the HR job send me your CV and I will put a good word in for you when I give the boss his coffee and extra favourite biscuits !

ARP, isnt Greens money in his wife's name? He's such a caring person.... Not..... I wonder if he will end up slipping of his yacht? Gordon would give the mine away under the guise of keeping up foreign relations and maybe throw some gold in as well. :-))Zoo

Yes ARP. There was a time when Gordon Brown would have been a shoe-in for the post. But, alas, he is now yesterdays man albeit with an unfortunate habit, like Tony Blair and John Major, of popping his head up and embarrassing himself.
As for Philip Green - he is far too good at doing what he does.

Zoo. I accept your rebuke. But I did say "dream team"

TA - Perhaps Philip Green could be Chairman as he's renowned for putting shareholders and employees interests first.

TA - I think Gordon Brown should be the CFO as he's particularly astute at timing the gold market!

Mill, to be honest if that path plays out which I tend to think may well be the case as well, for what its worth so does EL. If the D word came into force and it were to be a Chinese gov agency involved given the hoops they,ve made us jump through for the licence I've no doubt they will add pressure in some shape or form to control a negotiated price in their favour. However if the mine were to be in Australia for example I would be in favour of the D word rather than buybacks but China is a dirty word in the markets unfortunately. Not only on the financial side but on their human rights just for starters. Given the likes of what were are seeing around the world the Institutions are looking to be seen as being more ethical etc. On balance though as you say China could well be the route out, it will be interesting.Zoo

I have had Covid and not lightly. I tested positive, and just one of my symptoms was shingles. My older brother (72 years old) had the vaccine and developed a severe rash around his waist and back very similar to my mine. He recovered in about five days, me three weeks. Make of it what you will. Get well soon.

I would be amazed if there is a takeover from the existing major shareholders as I have commented before similar to Zoo any move would have been in the 30-40p range as I truly believe that deep down they knew the licence would be issued at some point and have had a clear inkling on the (now public) true extent of the resources. Also given their age I would imagine that they are looking to get max value ASAP to even better fund their retirements. I agree with others the most likely scenario of any bid would be from a chinese company of government agency as very very few foreign companies make good in China, Griffin are a true exception. IMHO £2 later this year (July H1 with volume projections) should be nailed on assuming zinc and gold don’t tank. This time next year Rodders.....today217;s price should be a distant memory especially if the ‘D’ word comes into the equation.

TA - Thanks that's very re-assuring to hear. You're certainly testament to a full recovery. It does seem abnormally prevalent among GFM shareholders, I hope it doesn't deter some new investors who'll take us to the next level.

ARP.
Sorry to hear of your shingles. It seems that those holding GFM are particularly susceptible!!
Like you I too had it on my scalp and above my left eye immediately following a cataract operation.
If it is any comfort to you I contracted it 25 years ago and still have 20/20 vision.
