For someone who declares himself not interested in dividends, zoo is most vociferous in attacking those who are. It doesn't compute. In other news: "It was revealed last year that Dolly had donated $1 million (£760,000) to coronavirus research, which had contributed massively to the development of the Moderna vaccine." Skin in the game. A great entertainer, who tries to stay out of politics, unlike many.

Zoo, rather than use your predictable (yawn ZZZ) why don’t you make an attempt at responding in a civil and constructive manner. I fear that is beyond you. You seem to have no consideration for views contrary to yours. Your assumptions on buy backs at your je moment are flawed

G, as I've said I'm not against dividends but accept the institutions don't like investing in China its not Griffin thats the problem. The dividend won't entice them because of the location. As soon as they update the market on production figures the share price will lift.G, it's simple get everyone to email the company and put pressure on them regarding paying a dividend, then fine. Thing is there are only about five people banging on about it on here. Others have said they aren't all that worried about one. The facts are this, currently there is no dividend on the table they are doing buybacks. But overall the share price has gone from upper twenties to 160p plus. A lot of savvy investors have done very well out of it and even more so if it was via an ISA . I'm happy for buybacks because currently that's all there is. I would be even happier if the company was bought / buyout / T/O for 250/270p But why the same few people keep going over the same ground time and time again is strange. The fact is there is no dividend on the table at the moment, will there be? who knows? My bike is waiting to go on a ride then to the airfield where I'm sure they will ask what had been said on here.Zoo

Do you know how to use a phone Rose or is it a case you just like to moan about things? I see you as an armchair moaner. Things to do but I'm sure that you will spend the day posting about non payments of dividends and how people shouldn't have the vaccine or some other rubbish. Just for you Rose.BBC News - Dolly Parton reworks Jolene for Covid vaccinationhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-56262280

I do not agree with your comments regarding a dividend Zoo. Firstly we are all entitled to voice our opinion without getting sniped at. Secondly the old time purpose of investing in a company was to get some return on your capital. A company such as GFM can well afford to do so and such an announcement would probably add about 20p to the share price immediately. As normally happens the fall in price when ex div would be quickly made up.Apart from continuing your spat with Rose and others I think you are arguing just for the sake of it

Alan, don't blame you. Have you heard Griffin aren't paying a dividend again yet. I don't think Rose has but they are doing buybacks though. :-))If the institutions were that keen they would have said to Griffin pay a dividend and we'll be interested. However its not Griffin they don't like its the Chinese. So all of the whining in the world won't change things as they currently stand. It didn't help the share price much last time they paid one.So today Rose is on the dividend debacle again. So predictable....Zoo

I've never phoned Roger or anyone in the company. By all reports, the only result will be found in ones telephone bill.

Alan still can't work the filter. And he is still convinced that everyone he doesn't like is the same person with many nicknames. When he posts that, he looks foolish to the persons concerned, as they know who they are and know he is confused.

They why don't you get on the phone to Roger and say I'm Rose the window licking troll from the ADVFN BB and I demand a dividend. Maybe they will decide to give everyone an Easter Egg as well. :-)

Quite aside from the dividend as a reward in itself, the institution of a dividend would bring in more investors and raise the share price over and above any rise brought about by announcement of production improvements.

That there is currently no dividend is not an immutable fact. It is a problem that may easily be fixed. Griffin paid a dividend in the past, and could do so again. Now is the time. The licence has been granted. Zinc and gold prices are healthy and the metals in demand. The processing capacity is already built. The company is making money and it is time (past time) to return value to the shareholders. Share buy backs are clearly not the way to go about it.

Griffin fundamentals are of course the main determinant of the value of the company, but the argument was about whether share buy-backs are useful as a means of returning value to share holders. On the evidence, from the recent round and the previous ones, they are not fit for that purpose. Jeez, even alan sees it.

Wasn't supposed to, just saying we all laugh at the moron who spends all of the day posting rubbish about Trump as well as bombarding the board with falsehoods about the vaccine makes us laugh because anyone with a modicum of sense can see its rubbish. Thank you Rose for being such a jester. :-)) Whats it going to be today? An overview post Budget?

The share price will move once they report what they have processed and sold. We know what they can do, now they have to do it. Very simple really.

Hard to isolate factors that are moving the SP, but it can't be said to have moved up after the announcement of buy-backs or their actual implementation.

G, if you look at the RNS there is a statement on how they can / are operating the buy backs. Agreed if they bought then as a large chunk the effect would be better and help the share price Zoo
