23/10/2020 10:32 | Rose/Sage If you want proper content go to the other thread Q3 gold output annualised is not as good or worse than the years 17,18 and 19 If you want further burble about coffee mornings etc, then stay here | phillis
23/10/2020 10:31 | Although zinc production is down gold production is more than twice H1 in Q3. Revenue in Q3 almost exactly the same as H1. I'm going for $4.2m PBT in the quarter, EPS of 2.46. Based on current metal prices I believe that Q4 would be $1.5m higher giving a current p/e of 5.6x at 74p. I think a p/e of 8 is appropriate so a price of 106p is justified. | beany5
23/10/2020 10:29 | Here is an article, in the New York Post, about how the main stream media distorts the news and covers for Biden: "Media goes to bat for Joe Biden after final debate" | rose_by_another_name
23/10/2020 10:26 | I pointed that out, Sage. Have you got me on filter? | rose_by_another_name
23/10/2020 10:24 | Matt You cannot compare world zincspot prices with the price that GFM receives from the smelters for its concentrate Chalk and cheese Q is now: where from here? No more capacity available and grades unlikely to increase (maybe gold) | phillis
23/10/2020 10:12 | ".... the company has instituted the above production quarterly production schedule which will ensure the market is capable of estimating the financial results of the Company until the interim and annual results are published." To me that is pretty clear that we should now expect an update in January for the Q4 2020 performance, in April for the Q1 2021 performance & in July for the Q2 2021 performance. This looks to me like the new NOMAD (Panmure Gordon) is having a positive influence already. Quarterly reporting is the norm for listed miners so, let's hope the company now adopts this as the new 'normal' and aligns itself in that respect with its peer group. I believe such an action will also help with daily liquidity & trading volumes in the shares & with seven MM's on the order book, tighter spreads. Anyway, an unexpected but very welcome development in the reporting process and clearly very good news for the company & its investors. | mattjos
23/10/2020 10:09 | Surprised that not much has been said about the RNS. Don't know if anyone else spotted it but the gold has increased substantially last quarter! | sageman
23/10/2020 09:39 | Yup- even the biased media struggle to give Biden the win on last night's debate. Read other sources to get a rounded view. I realise that your "friends" are very real to you. I just don't see why you feel the need to keep telling me about them. | rose_by_another_name
23/10/2020 09:35 | Depending on who's view you take. | zooman
23/10/2020 09:30 | Rose there you go again my imaginary friends just because you have always told lies I don’t need to, just read a report on last nights debate and they gave trump B- and Biden B+, I think you can keep your telegraph ,maybe you should roll it up and stuff it in your mouth it would save wasting a sock! off out for coffee now and yes it’s for real, ha ha ha ,I will leave you with your computer that your married to, bye bye, | alangriffbang
23/10/2020 09:23 | You are not all there yourself, alan. That was my point, which, again, you missed. I'm not at all concerned about your imaginary friends laughter. | rose_by_another_name
23/10/2020 09:23 | Seems daft to me that the share price is still under £1 but, that's the beauty of the market - you can buy something that is clearly discounted by 30%+ for no sensible reason and simply wait for others to do the maths and realise that is the case. | mattjos
23/10/2020 09:15 | Consider table above together with prices achieved over last few years: | mattjos
23/10/2020 09:05 | Good table Matt Does it not suggest though that 2017 was the peak? Badly need the licence of which therE was no comment in the statement | phillis
23/10/2020 09:04 | Yes Matt and gold miners enjoy a significantly higher rating than zinc. | theapiarist
23/10/2020 08:53 | rose my friends aren’t stupid and seeing your not there how would you know, they’ve been laughing at you for ages, your so stupid, but please don’t stop now will you, | alangriffbang
23/10/2020 08:51 | zoo that’s all it needed, all this time of nothing you would have thought the penny would have dropped before now, may buy more today ,good luck , | alangriffbang
23/10/2020 08:50 | I think people should consider & compare/contrast this mornings Trading Update in conjunction with the Production history at the Caijiaying Mine. What's is becoming increasingly apparent, other than the obvious long term growth trend over the last 15 years, is the Gold content of the Ore. Yes, Griffin is primarily a Zinc miner but, the Gold (& Silver) by-products are becoming a very significant contributor to the total revenues & I think this warrants some Gold investors to take a much closer look: | mattjos
23/10/2020 08:50 | Yes indeed Phillis. The numbers may be comparable with Q3 2019 but the share price isn't. Add in the changes in prices/charges and this am's uplift seems modest. | theapiarist
23/10/2020 08:32 | "Who won the presidential debate? Donald Trump - and he showed how he can also win this election" Those of you without a Telegraph sub, or the nous to disable the paywall, will have to make do with the headline. | rose_by_another_name
23/10/2020 08:23 | Alan, very true at least the update provides something to talk about. Sitting on a nice profit again I'm sure it will retract a bit but good all the same. I see Trump didn't do himself any favours again. Zoo | zooman
23/10/2020 08:15 | On an annualised basis revenues could get close to the 2018 level of $99m with earnings per share of 11p giving a current rolling PE of about 7. | arphillips
23/10/2020 08:13 | Morning zoo, lots from Punch and Judy today, it really cheers me up to have a good laugh first thing in the morning, my Australian miner is once again down a lot the shine seems to have gone right off it , no idea what the market will do today, nice to see more updates from GFM and I’m sure it will be up today, shanta raising funds , the share price had been falling so somebody knew about it, anyway like all my shares I’m in for the long term , looking forward to this afternoon and hopefully there will be more to add, keep smiling, | alangriffbang
23/10/2020 08:12 | I doubt your friends will get it either, but of course they will nod along. That's what those little springs that join the head to body are for. | rose_by_another_name |
