Rose/Sage

If you want proper content go to the other thread
Q3 gold output annualised is not as good or worse than the years 17,18 and 19

If you want further burble about coffee mornings etc, then stay here

Although zinc production is down gold production is more than twice H1 in Q3. Revenue in Q3 almost exactly the same as H1. I'm going for $4.2m PBT in the quarter, EPS of 2.46. Based on current metal prices I believe that Q4 would be $1.5m higher giving a current p/e of 5.6x at 74p. I think a p/e of 8 is appropriate so a price of 106p is justified.

Here is an article, in the New York Post,
about how the main stream media distorts
the news and covers for Biden:

"Media goes to bat for Joe Biden after
final debate"

I pointed that out, Sage. Have you got me

Matt
You cannot compare world zincspot prices with the price that GFM receives from the smelters for its concentrate
Chalk and cheese

Q is now: where from here?
No more capacity available and grades unlikely to increase (maybe gold)

".... the company has instituted the above production quarterly production schedule which will ensure the market is capable of estimating the financial results of the Company until the interim and annual results are published."

To me that is pretty clear that we should now expect an update in January for the Q4 2020 performance, in April for the Q1 2021 performance & in July for the Q2 2021 performance.

This looks to me like the new NOMAD (Panmure Gordon) is having a positive influence already.
Quarterly reporting is the norm for listed miners so, let's hope the company now adopts this as the new 'normal' and aligns itself in that respect with its peer group. I believe such an action will also help with daily liquidity & trading volumes in the shares & with seven MM's on the order book, tighter spreads.

Anyway, an unexpected but very welcome development in the reporting process and clearly very good news for the company & its investors.

Surprised that not much has been said about the RNS. Don't know if anyone else spotted it but the gold has increased substantially last quarter!

Yup- even the biased media struggle to give
Biden the win on last night's debate. Read
other sources to get a rounded view.

I realise that your "friends" are very real
to you. I just don't see why you feel the
need to keep telling me about them.

Seems daft to me that the share price is still under £1 but, that's the beauty of the market - you can buy something that is clearly discounted by 30%+ for no sensible reason and simply wait for others to do the maths and realise that is the case.

Yes Matt and gold miners enjoy a significantly higher rating than zinc.

I think people should consider & compare/contrast this mornings Trading Update in conjunction with the Production history at the Caijiaying Mine.

What's is becoming increasingly apparent, other than the obvious long term growth trend over the last 15 years, is the Gold content of the Ore. Yes, Griffin is primarily a Zinc miner but, the Gold (& Silver) by-products are becoming a very significant contributor to the total revenues & I think this warrants some Gold investors to take a much closer look:

Yes indeed Phillis. The numbers may be comparable with Q3 2019 but the share price isn't. Add in the changes in prices/charges and this am's uplift seems modest.

"Who won the presidential debate? Donald Trump -
and he showed how he can also win this election"

Those of you without a Telegraph sub, or the
nous to disable the paywall, will have to make
do with the headline.

Alan, very true at least the update provides something to talk about. Sitting on a nice profit again I'm sure it will retract a bit but good all the same. I see Trump didn't do himself any favours again. Zoo

On an annualised basis revenues could get close to the 2018 level of $99m with earnings per share of 11p giving a current rolling PE of about 7.

I doubt your friends will get it either, but
of course they will nod along. That's what
those little springs that join the head to
body are for.
