Alan, I shall be in the land of nod and happy to wait until the morning. If there's a decent rise I may sell into it and buy back on the fall it worked last time although I did sell half on the lift before the update. I'm not sure what is happening with GGP at the moment, having said that if you had invested 25k at 1p or so you are looking at 250/75k minus your original stake profit people maybe cashing in paying off mortgages etc especially now given what we expect to be around the corner hence I don't blame them, Bird in the Hand etc. I think we shall see the unemployment percentage figures the same as America as more companies lay off. I also suspect foreign companies will try to keep homeland jobs and lay off in other countries as much as they can. Zoo

Thank you ARP, I was going to buy some more today but you know how it is with this type of share ,they can fall back quickly ,everybody’s getting excited about the RNS at GGP tomorrow ,I guess zoo will be up at 1 30 to get the news and we will wake up to it ,john c recommended strategic minerals ,I looked it up and the buys there are amazing ,it’s a bit on the cheap side for me but who knows ,keep safe ,

Interesting thanks Zoo. 0.5% short on HSBC, none on Shell and 0.5% on Hammerson. All those surprised me!

A - I did have a look at your TP Group recommendation yesterday. Just wishing I had acted on it as it's certainly moving very strongly today. Well done.

R - It's quiet day on the markets. So just out of curiosity with your full mop of hair and being a man of many talents, have you given yourself a home haircut in lockdown or are you now sporting the hippy look? :-)

Thanks all

I'm not planning on shorting, on principle I don't like it, but was wondering if it could be used as a leading indicator. Once you're in to 25% territory, you should already be aware! But yes short squeeze can apply. Someone posted barchart.com as a useful checker for shorts. It is worth a look, I haven't yet had time to really figure out which bits of the site I can use, but there is a lot of information there, if you like that sort of thing. So thank you whoever it was, and if anyone has time on their hands :-), it is worth a squint.

Buy shares and your potential loss is limited
to what you paid. Sell short and there is no
limit on how much you can lose. Most PIs can't
do it anyway, that's what Plus500 is for.

Does anyone know if there is a rule of thumb for when shorts stopping being a drag on share prices? The reason I ask is that in London property, once vacancy rates in offices drop below 5% you see good rental growth. It isn't a perfect measure, but a good start. Is there something similar for shorts? At 7.24% its close to 5%. I'm a simple bloke...

Alan, I hope we should see another reduction in Tullows 7.24 percent shorting today. Its interesting that PMO has 19 percent shorting currently which means as they close with oil gaining there could be an opportunity to make some money there. Zoo

As alan can't see my posts, his objection
would seem to be that I post at all. Too
bad for him.

Morning zoo, it’s a shame yesterday was such a good day for posters and very interesting back he comes and will spoil today completely ,I thought the market would be up today , not a brilliant start but we will see what happens ,it is interesting what they rate GFM at now but looking at it I really can’t see why, I’m still going to hold off ,GGP they have upgraded to buy which is good ,good luck to you ,

Looks like the LME stockpile has resumed
drawdown. Maybe because mines and smelters
have been out of action.
