He never has to hold a stock because, as
he keeps telling us, it always rockets the
day after he buys.

You have to understand how fervently he
really, really doesn't care. Hence the
endless posts, and of course he was the
one to bring up dividends AGAIN.

Zoo, you or anyone else can comment freely the merits of a dividend or not. It really is a neither here nore there. You or I will never know. If there had been one for the last few years then maybe the share price would be stable and higher than today. Like you say some companies who have had a dividend have failed but in balance many have not. Some if not many investment funds have portfolios made up of companies that pay dividends whilst others don't. Personally I believe it would of helped.

Up, how many companies that paid a dividend have still gone to the wall? There are many more factors at work here and a dividend would not have helped. I think that its more about greed and blind faith with some here. I trade I'm not a long term investor and because of that a dividend is not the be all and end all for me especially in this case. Mining is a risky business GFM is a small company with one mining location. One accident and the mine is closed we have seen this in the past. Thus by holding hundreds of thousands of pounds long term and keeping ones fingers crossed. Well I let you figure that one out. Comments with the share falling from £1.60 to where it is now and saying oh well I'm still in profit, there's a saying never underestimate the stupidity of the stupid.Let me make it clear in this case, a dividend would not have stabilised the share price and stopped the price falling. Funny how its the same few who bang on about it time and time again, its not about understanding about a dividend but understanding the reality of the situation.Zoo

Zoo, I really hoped that you would be able to come to see that the old and sorry stance would and should have been put to bed. A company that pays a dividend is a corner stone of the FTSE. You above all should and would be expected to understand the benefits of such a policy and it is with a heavy heart that you will understand that the comments you have made are truly niaeve. Stop the stupidly of the argument you proport to support and move on.

A. It may well happen. It has with AMER. We've had a change in broker, licence delayed, no dividend, the FD is coming up for retirement share price dropping. Is that being controlled? Dirty smelters being closed down and other stuff.Your broker wasn't wrong last time saying it was a sell and look at the share price now. All very messy maybe this little gem has had its day.Zoo

A. Not wishing anyone losses just picking on the few who ridiculed me for not being too interested in a dividend and the fact I only trade as against long term investmentAgain today we read one of these people claim a dividend would have saved the share price. Two things wrong with that, POZ has dropped no new licence and a dividend would have saved it delusional or what?It needs to be understood company BODs really don't care about shareholders they are a means to an end. The likes of RG have their hands tied as to what they can say. You only have to look at how certain people try to twist things on this BB hence he just says what he can and no more. I don't blame him. Zoo

Are you under the impression that other
people think there is a dividend, and you
are revealing some kind of insight? When
I bang on about there not being a dividend
you are derisive- now you are doing it, as
if it is proof of something. What?

You still don't get it- the lack of a dividend
is one of the reasons the share is languishing.
This is something the board could fix, but as
we all know, they don't seem ready to do so.
Your recognition of their reluctance and the
effect that is having on the share price is not an
argument against instituting a dividend, but
an argument for.

"I never say how many shares I hold buy
or sell or exactly when I make the trade."

That would after all make it harder to
boast of making a killing.
