15/8/2018 14:11 | opodio I am sending your comments to Griffin. I knew your stance pal. | lodgeview
15/8/2018 13:50 | chinese scam going bust imho | opodio
15/8/2018 13:49 | Dear alan I'm sure you will appreciate I cannot comment on the share price not only because I'm not authorised to,there are days when I fail to understand it myself. The first half of the year is always more challenging than the second half as we suffer from the chinese new year holidays and Chinese party conferences interrupting operations in February and March, there is nothing more we can say at this point, but please be assured if there is anything good or bad happens we will make an announcement, hope you are well, Regards Roger Quite disappointing really over many years I have had many interesting conversations with him,now he appears to be gagged! I am going to keep my entire holding.i went into griffin long term and long term it will be, | alangrifbang
15/8/2018 13:49 | "even the moaners have to accept that" No one has to accept anything you say. The current drop in Griffin's share price began immediately after the half year figures, while the price of zinc was falling before. Both have an effect, of course, but you are blinkered to the main cause. | rose_by_another_name
15/8/2018 13:32 | Neville, Retaliation? Blimey you see things from an extreme perspective. There appears to be a lot of GFM shareholders that have a different opinion from you and a few others is what the debate is about. | up just a little bit
15/8/2018 13:29 | Sage, Though you said you were a buyer on the dips? | up just a little bit
15/8/2018 13:27 | Hi Sageman Spot on however you must realise how ever factual and correct you are with your well researched posts we will always have posters who have had there fingers burnt and in retaliation find it acceptable to chasise the BOD of GFM , how can they possible be held responsible for the recent decline in the price of Zinc CD | neville1940
15/8/2018 13:20 | Hi slopsjon Very interesting why stockopida still rates GFM so highly as a very professional outfit there must be a logical reason for this , my situation is very simple IMO GFM is excellent shape to increase production substantially this together with the recovery of Zinc prices bodes Well for the future however if you are a short term speculator GFM is not for you ,as stated all IMO Neville (CD) | neville1940
15/8/2018 13:20 | It disappoints me that people here continue to go on about the BOD and the results and the 3% lower production. All the time missing the real point. A few facts GFM 30p 17/7/16, GFM 60p 14/7/17. share price 7/6/18 £1.57 Fall in price of zinc since $1.64 peak = 35%. Fall in GFM share price since peak = circa 30%. Price of zinc 12 months ago not much different to today BUT debt much reduced. I have further reduced my holdings having taken profits on my second core. What others do is up to them but given that this is a geared play on zinc I expect sub £1 in the absence of a rapid rally in zinc or the license. Suggest you study Kitco or Info mine instead of this board and/or take the last 2 years accounts and adjust the figures for the current price of gold and zinc (remember it is in concentrate). The sharp sell off in the last few days correlates directly to the 11.5% drop in zinc over that period - even the moaners have to accept that because the BOD have released nothing in that period. | sageman
15/8/2018 12:25 | Meanwhile GFM is still ranked 99/100 on Stockopedia | slopsjon2
15/8/2018 11:27 | Have had an e mail reply from Roger goodwin this morning ,nothing new will paraphrase it when I get home , | alangrifbang
15/8/2018 11:13 | Lodgeview, If you are stressing that much it may well be that it’s not the game for you. I can’t advise you what to do, as I don’t know your circumstances, attitude to risk etc. Advfn is probably not the best place to ask either. If you are a stock market novice, I would advise that deciding when to sell is always a hard decision. My biggest mistakes have always been holding on for too long. In the old tech days I bought IMG for 50p, held them as they rose to £6 within months, and then didn’t sell as they fell. They fell to about 13p! You have to accept that you won’t sell at the top. A popular investment style is to set a stop loss. I won’t clog the BB with details but look it up and you’ll get the idea. In regard to Gfm, I’m assuming you bought in the 140-160p bracket. At the time prospects looked good. However since then, they have disappointed the market with H1 results and price of zinc has collapsed. The ditching of broker is also a warning sign for me. As sage has said it is this fall in zinc share price that will really hurt profits. Unless there is a sudden upsurge in zinc price, full year profits will be sharply down. If you do hold, I think you must prepare yourself for more pain, as I can’t see Sp returning to previous highs until next year at the earliest. | acuere
15/8/2018 10:45 | FREE FALL to 80p | onjohn

15/8/2018 10:38 | Lodge, Its OK, Sageman is buying on the dips. | up just a little bit
15/8/2018 10:32 | All I do is bloody well lose thousands of pounds all the time. I am actually quite devastated and feel tortured inside right now. | lodgeview
15/8/2018 10:27 | Don't think I'm cut out for this game. Even Stockopedia hasn't really helped me! | lodgeview
15/8/2018 09:41 | I sold last time share price went down and regretted it. I'm planning on holding this time. | mshafiq
15/8/2018 09:06 | Lodge, I am probably not the one to offer advice as I sold all my remaining shares last week for the reasons stated in a post. I suggest you ask yourself, as I did, if I didn’t hold any would I buy them now.Your answer might help you to make up your mind. Good luck. | gailes5
15/8/2018 08:16 | Can anyone advise please? | lodgeview
15/8/2018 08:06 | Starting to get tetchy here seeing my capital disappear quite rapidly. Quite worried actually. I think I have too much invested here. It ain't looking too clever is it!!? | lodgeview
15/8/2018 07:31 | Well the BOD said nothing about their expectations for the second half choosing to remain silent on the issue of grades It remains the only important thing that requires explanation but I doubt we will get it Has anyone caught sight of the Panumure Gordon report on the results I understand from a City source that it may have ruffled a few feathers | phillis
15/8/2018 02:24 | Having just re-read the Chairman's statement in the 2017 yearly report, where he positively crows about many production records having been broken, it occurs to me that perhaps the poor production in the first half of 2018 was the result of deliberate policy. What if they decided to go all out to break records by concentrating efforts on the best ore while scamping the housekeeping tasks like managing the tailings, perhaps thinking that the zinc price would continue to rise, allowing them to catch up on the housekeeping and clearing lower grade ore later on without impacting the bottom line? Only zinc didn't keep rising but fell back markedly. Sheer speculation of course, with nothing to back it up except the uncanny way it explains what the board has not. | rose_by_another_name |
