12/2/2018 18:15 | Thanks Gary, I'm long AAZ, CAML, GFM in resource stocks (weighted in that order) | crazycoops
12/2/2018 16:26 | Crazycoops, You might want to take a look at CAML if you don’t already own as it sounds as though it will sit well alongside your other investments. Gary | gary1966

12/2/2018 15:53 | A lot of excited and enthusiastic newbies. | rmjones
12/2/2018 15:48 | Not sure about any recent upgrades but current consensus eps for 2017 and 2018 is 20 cents, putting GFM on a forward PE of 8.35 and P/FCF of 9.52. These forecasts look out of date and unreliable to me. H1 alone delivered 14 cents eps and we know there has been sufficient cashflow to become debt free in H2.This is not the only profitable resource stock in my PF where such a pricing anomaly exists based on lack of decent broker coverage. I think value will out once 2017 results are published and 2018 forecasts are upgraded (regardless of license news). | crazycoops
12/2/2018 15:42 | Zinc is up today as is Gold | malcolmmm
12/2/2018 15:33 | I know not to take to much notice but the chart is giving a target price of £1.80 :) If we take the movement from January as a pennant formation and the sharp rise as the flag pole. The fundamentals also sure back a move like that up :) Roll on £2 later in the year :) | ukgeorge
12/2/2018 15:27 | I too have hunted around for the Upgrade but cannot find it. Pleased to see this is climbing today and I will be even happier when we are back in the 130s. | the juggler
12/2/2018 15:24 | 162725 LME Zinc stock | up just a little bit
12/2/2018 14:47 | Can't see anything for that Eps upgrade | up just a little bit
12/2/2018 13:01 | Busterdog2, Which broker and what is the forecast now? Thanks Gary | gary1966
12/2/2018 12:50 | Broker upgrades eps by a third. | busterdog2
12/2/2018 10:34 | Well, I'm in the buy the dips brigade. World economy is in very good health and growth forecasts have recently been increased by the IMF. 10% correction is healthy, onwards and upwards IMO. Other positives for me. Gold wasn't seen as a safe haven last week....no increase PE Ratios are not in bubble territory....mid teens at present, historically not expensive. | basem1
12/2/2018 09:53 | With such poor returns on cash, a market " crash " may not happen. However, if it does , it will provide an opportunity to buy good companies cheaper. the world is not going to end any time soon; populations are growing and demanding more . As always, stock selection will be important . | roddiemac2
12/2/2018 08:47 | Fat Prophets reckon this 10% correction on the DOW is the floor . Telegraph says dump the lot a market crash is on the way. The Mail sort of says that the cause is that traders leaveraged ETP's , ETN's and other sophisticated products using borrowed money are causing the volatility and that companies operating on borrowed money will be in trouble as their shares fall in price etc. Just a summary ,best to read the article but although what Hectorp says is true the Mail says that the big players compared with the whole market are a tiny proportion of the trillions invested. I am a value investor so hopefully will do OK but who knows. I am 25% invested at the moment. Fat Prophets have experienced a few corrections and crashes and are usually right. | malcolmmm
09/2/2018 11:17 | That's a great point, crooky1967. The fall in Markets isn't harming this sector too much. Some silver miners are doing OK too. However " investors will acclimatise to higher rates" Malcolmm) -maybe many shall, but what is driving the US MArkets is debt cash, and the very big players are running very afraid, as they have no wiggle room with those " investment" positions. There is no doubt many of them are very geared... leading to vast closings of positions to limit loss. It is this bunch, which have supported the market for a few years. I expect a massive fall in the Dow. Even Bank of Scotland advisors are today saying " dump stocks now" . | hectorp
09/2/2018 10:40 | Zinc news reports yesterday stating that smelter prices for 2018 may be down to $140-$150 per tonne in 2018 from $180 per tonne in 2017. So that could mean an additional profit of $30 to $40 per tonne during 2018. | crooky1967
09/2/2018 08:37 | Indeed, the companies that have high levels of debt are getting a pasting again. Good job we have none at all and a growing pile of cash. | up just a little bit
09/2/2018 08:27 | Well the Japanese stock market was down over 4% then closed over 2% down after rising about 1% the previous day so I think investors will eventually acclimatise to higher interest rates as growth is good and commodities are in short supply. I am a buyer of value shares of which GFM is one. | malcolmmm
09/2/2018 07:55 | Standby for another blood bath | up just a little bit
08/2/2018 09:50 | For me, Zn needs a trip to the $3300 level as it has been pretty much one way traffic for months. A consolidation there and positive reaction will be a good sign. | polaris
08/2/2018 08:45 | Dollar up commodities down including Zinc and Gold. | malcolmmm
07/2/2018 23:02 | Start with the 2016 FY results and the H1 figures for 2017. That will answer your questions. If you are not willing to take a look yourself then you are only gambling. I can 'sell it' to you but why would i be right? It really is a case of dyor first. | polaris
07/2/2018 22:56 | There's a website. | rose_by_another_name
07/2/2018 21:51 | Would anyone mind selling this stock to me? I know they're debt free but I'm struggling to find information around their cost of zinc / gold production , and how they compare to the wider market. Are the reserves large and of good quality? It's only the one mine, right? | cflather2000 |
