12/12/2017 18:15 | It might be a game changer if it lands in the next two weeks! But haven't we been waiting two years already? I won't hold my breath | buster18
12/12/2017 16:55 | Hopefully more to come tomorrow when people have researched this one, zone II is s nassive game changer as well IF it lands in the next two weeks | return_of_the_apeman
12/12/2017 13:52 | Nice rise in Zinc today and lme touching 200K :-) | return_of_the_apeman
12/12/2017 11:49 | Back in profit. YIPPEE!!!! | up just a little bit
12/12/2017 11:48 | $4.3m of interest paid last year that going forward will drop to the bottom line. Story gets better and better. Mark up today is welcome but doesn’t begin to scratch the surface of true value here and now. Hopefully this will just be the start of an overall uptrend leading to the results. Licence news for zone 2 will be the cherry on top of the cake, all be it an important one. Infrastructure all in place for that event and so just a ramp up in production with a massive effect on the bottom line. I can see this having similarities with CAML, highly cash generative with fat dividends paid to shareholders. Would be happy for cash to be used on value accretive acquisitions or licence areas. GLA | gary1966
12/12/2017 10:47 | the cash generation in half 1 always suggested repayment by end of second half - all other things remaining equal Look back through previous posts | phillis
12/12/2017 10:26 | it made sense to pay off debt interest on loan was being paid with that gone and huge cash generation now dropping to bottom line | trawl
12/12/2017 10:20 | The suprise was that the debt was paid off earlier than expected, some expected by end of March some later | return_of_the_apeman
12/12/2017 10:19 | “The financial benefits...... will be even more extraordinary once this (Zone 11 licence) is in place.” The financial benefits are indeed extraordinary even without this long awaited approval. They were optimistic about approval this year at long last. Just a very small hint perhaps in their update today that approval could be imminent? Meanwhile while waiting for that what’s not to like about highest rated U.K. share on Stockopedia? And yes, news today bodes well for dividends too. | kenmitch
12/12/2017 10:11 | the strange thing here it seems is that people are surprised at what has happened Given the zinc price levels it was always obvious what was going to happen (absent another mining accident!) | phillis
12/12/2017 09:33 | Surely these will be £2 this time next year :) what a great share | ukgeorge
12/12/2017 09:29 | Reported volume has been supprisingly low consiering todays rns and no stock out there only 1500 seemingly left at 97p | return_of_the_apeman
12/12/2017 09:21 | Come March and the fantastic results they are going to post, I can't see why they won't return to paying dividends, by end of March they wil have accumulated a large cash pile to cover a fat divi Gla | return_of_the_apeman
12/12/2017 09:16 | GFM Griffin Mining, news this morning the company is totally debt free creating significant free cash and with infrastructure built and ready to double production as soon as the new mining licence over Zone II is granted. FANTASTIC NEWS. | 3rd eye
12/12/2017 09:08 | Griffin Mining Limited ("Griffin" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its Chinese subsidiary, Hebei Hua Ao Mining Industry Company limited ("Hebei Hua Ao"), having incurred approximately $67 million in debt over the past number of years for plant upgrades and mine development, has now repaid all outstanding bank loans, including $44.7 million repaid during 2017. The Company and its subsidiaries are now debt free. There is some great fundamental analysis for full year eps etc in the last 100 or so posts for those that can be bothered to read back that far Stockopedia still rates thus as the best stock in the universe with a rank of 100/100 | return_of_the_apeman
12/12/2017 08:59 | Debt free quicker than I expected, looks like previous estimates were a bit low, either way this is still on a pe of less than four at a share price of £1. Far too cheap. Cue the broker upgrades | return_of_the_apeman
12/12/2017 08:40 | Targets will be upgraded to well above £1 now | jswjsw
12/12/2017 08:32 | I wonder what reason they will give for not giving a dividend? | stevenlondon3
12/12/2017 08:31 | Great start | malcolmmm
12/12/2017 08:23 | Dipped my toe in today. Looks interesting as my fav combo, Russians running a chienese mining company....looking forward to the Jan TU. | telbap
12/12/2017 08:07 | Look at my detailed profit forecast post 26639. Forecasting 53m PBT. Very comfortable with this estimate now. | owenga
12/12/2017 08:05 | Bloody prescriptive text... PBT, not put! | owenga
12/12/2017 08:03 | Fantastic news. You can also get a pretty good idea of profits generated in the last 6 months too.In the first 6 months cash flow pretty much equalled put of 20m. Assuming no tax paid in second half of year, i.e. Paid in first half following year end, then can pretty much assume 30-35m profits in second half, and we are not even at year end yet. This assumes they have not run down cash balances, which were 15m at half year. They like to keep that pretty steady, so a fair assumption. That mans we are looking at at least 50m put for full year, which is in line with my estimates.SP is way too low! Hoping for a trading update in early January.GLA. | owenga |
