03/12/2020 15:20 | Luxembourg-based fintech PingPong has been granted a license to conduct payments using e-money such as Bitcoin or digital gold currency, the company said on Wednesday. Luxembourg's financial regulator, the CSSF, granted the Chinese company an e-payments license which allows it to make or process payments with non-traditional forms of money such as electronic fund transfers and digital currencies. PingPong was founded in 2015 and got a payments license in Luxembourg in 2017. Last year, it said it would be making a €100 million investment in Luxembourg, although it was not clear what it would use the money for. The new e-payments license come after China and Luxembourg bolstered relations, which were solidified in 2019 when the Grand Duchy endorsed China's Belt and Road initiative, a massive infrastructure plan to build trade networks between Asia, Europe and Africa. PingPong announced the €100 million investment in the same weekend Luxembourg endorsed the Belt and Road Initiative. Also last year, The Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) said it was building a central information hub allowing investors to access and compare 'green' bonds traded in China on a single platform. And in January of 2019, Alipay, China's leading mobile and online payment provider, received an electronic money licence in Luxembourg. Please do your own research as always. | qantas

02/12/2020 19:38 | I don't want to ignore Qantas, he/she has been here ages and I never noticed a problem posting before, the links and comments were always good and relevant. It's only recently he/she has just gone all cryptic. I do have access to Google to get random financial links :D | planit2
02/12/2020 17:15 | The simplest solution is to just filter (option at top) out anyone that posts stuff unrelated to Gresham. That's what I do but unfortunately you do still get the email alerts. | crazycanuck
02/12/2020 17:14 | Perhaps you should do more research ..... | qantas
02/12/2020 17:09 | Qantas, you are such a tease! Could you please expand on what you refer to as the bigger picture of GHT. I remain confused..just like others, but, like them, we are willing to learn. | gerihatrick
02/12/2020 16:55 | 6GR and Planit you know the answers and I am so pleased you are doing research. Perhaps you are both blinkered? about the bigger picture of GHT. You know what to do and what button to press. Please do your own research as always. | qantas
02/12/2020 16:31 | There are many 1000s of press releases every day about banks in general or about firms that use the internet, or software firms. This thread should be focussed on any that have some direct context with GHT, I too am getting irritated with some of the irrelevant links being posted and I am unclear about the motivation for doing so. For the posts above for example, I know a great deal about Libra and Cryptocurrency and I first bought bitcoins at $50 many years ago, but LIBRA has no linkage whatsoever with GHT, same with the Revolut. | 6gr
02/12/2020 10:25 | Revolut has decided their customers like banks with websites. I am mainly surprised it took them this long. It has precisely nothing to do with GHT. Unless you know that GHT are providing the backend to make this possible. Are Revolut a customer of GHT? | planit2

01/12/2020 21:25 | I have been called to this thread for a new posting but I have no idea what you are trying to say Qantas, please could you explain what your thoughts are on this article and what is has to do with Gresham as I am really struggling? Thanks | planit2
27/11/2020 15:01 | You are correct of course but as with any scam they do not need to catch very many. | richjp
27/11/2020 10:56 | Speaking to smaller shareholders would never be a real takeover tactic, since the company is controlled by the larger institutional shareholders, with the top 10 controlling 70%+ of the shares. | 6gr
27/11/2020 10:52 | Gottafly, thank you for the warning on this. I don't think that I would ever sell any share other than through Hargreaves Lansdown where my portfolio is held, however I suppose some others might fall for it. Not GHT investors of course! | richjp
27/11/2020 10:21 | definitely a scam...thanks for that | gerihatrick
27/11/2020 06:52 | geriatrics, you are not the only one! I read all these and wonder if there is something which will cause GHT to leap ahead, but it has not happened yet! | jadeticl3
26/11/2020 17:08 | Qantas ..when you put up a link could you please explain where you see the connection to GHT please. Having read the last 2 I do not understand the relevance..I appreciate I am just showing my lack of understanding but I am willing to learn! | gerihatrick |
