Apparently the tea boy was appointed to make company announcements, but no one told him it was a full time job.

I am sure its the case with most jobs, you would lose your job if you only made half attempts in your job. You would think we would be used to this from Gresham.

Any upgrades are likely after interims are announced. I am sure I saw small adjustments in the forecasts around that time in previous years. Obviously we hope for a meaningful upgrade this time.

Hopefully people attending the AGM will get a better idea if the strong start is likely to lead to any up grades in numbers and whether we are on the cusp of a step up or if its just a steady build up.

Positive words again but difficult to interprete this in numbers. Last year they gave an indication on how trading was going in terms of financials. This year no indication. So a but frustrating but I am inclined to be a little bit more optimistic. Steady as she goes but no big breakthrough yet.

This statement did not send my pulse racing, but it is not down beat.

richjp, as a consequence of this statement are you preparing to attend the AGM Meeting? If so would you wish a significant number of us to nominate you to speak on our behalf to ask again for better communications?

The below is very certain and talks about 2017 and nothing about "could" or "possible":

"The experience gained from the acquisition has been valuable and, during 2017, the Group will look for further accretive acquisitions that bring complementary technology, build our recurring licence revenues, and enable us to grow faster. "

I suggest they already have company(ies) for acquisition in mind or even lined up.

dd, the company has not "promised" another acquisition. They stated that further acquisitions could be possible if and when appropriate.

Gresham CEO, Ian Manocha, named top UK data entrepreneur
3 May 2017

Recognition for data leadership and outstanding innovation

London, 3 May 2017 – Gresham, the leading software and services company that specialises in providing real-time transaction control and enterprise data integrity solutions, is pleased to announce that Ian Manocha, CEO, has been named by Information Age as a top ten UK data entrepreneur in The Data 50 Awards, celebrating data leadership and excellence.

The awards honour people and firms at the forefront of data – those transforming organisations and enhancing decision-making through its use, managing and controlling its proliferating growth, and driving business value.

Ian Manocha, CEO, Gresham says, “It’s an honour to be nominated in this year’s Data 50 Awards and this is a testament to the ground-breaking work the Gresham team has been doing in this area for the last few years. Opening our Innovation Labs in Bristol and investing in new products, we are dedicated to helping firms ensure enterprise data integrity. We give them confidence in their data and certainty in their transaction processing”.

The Data 50 Awards ceremony takes place on the 18 May at the Montcalm London Marble Arch.

Ok 144p, whats 1p between friends.

I hope you are right gottafly but the share price is saying dont hold your breath for this agm statement.

Is there something else going on the market is pricing in. We know the company has promised another aquisition and no doubt share issuance along with it but at what cost to the ordinary shareholders.

A high volume of trades just before the AGM, yes the share price has slipped a little but if past events are anything to go by then this high share volume is likely to be followed by an share price movement. In my view somebody thinks it is very worth while buying stock now rather than awaiting any further update associated with the AGM. So that would suggest an share price rise. Is this someone in the know or a hunch.

Neutral -Medium term, Apr 28, 2017 Analysis Explanation

GRESHAM COMPUTING has fallen back towards the floor of the rising trend channel. A continued rise may be expected and the current price level may be a good entry price. It, however, gave a negative signal from a double top formation at the break down through the support at 153. Further fall to 144 or lower is signaled. The stock has resistance at pence 160. The poor liquidity of the stock (traded 100% of the days, mean 5.38 mill per day) may weaken the analysis. The stock is overall assessed as technically neutral for the medium long term.

1/3 of the year gone and we have had no meaningful news out of the company. We have had the usual press release including we have employed even more sales people. Between the 4/5 offices around the world we must have dozens of these sales people. Apart from handful of tier 1 banks, they have been winning contracts worth c.£300k/over 3-5years. I am not sure if that is paying their wages on that sort of return. Whilst I had given up of super growth from Gresham, I had hoped for a step change in the business this year but no evidence of it as yet.

If the company waits again for December to release good news then the share price will drift in the meantime. With my very amature chartists hat on if 145p goes then we may find support around 115-120p.

Nurdin. The growth in turnover from 17.2 to 20.3m includes a full year of acquisition. If you take that out its steady growth yes but not the step up we had hoped for when the new CEO took over and thats why to my way of thinking the high pe makes it too risky for me. I retain my now small holding and will be glad to be prooved wrong.

Well we should all be wiser on Thursday, should we not??? If the above proves to have support we will all be happy along with Nurdin.

This is what SCSW said in February this year:

"For the current year to 31 December, Cantor Fitzgerald forecasts total sales to climb to £20.3m, up from £17.2m in the year just ended. Profit is set to climb from £2.8m to £4.2m if they are anywhere near the mark. Based on eps of 6.4p the shares may look expensive but further tier 1 wins are expected in the current year. The company already has direct sales offices in London, New York, Singapore and Australia and the 80%+ gross margins on software and very high “drop through” create an exciting entry point. Buy."

I am happy with that.

I wonder if a bit of reality is setting in. The last results were nothing to write home about and despite all the bullish talk I am still waiting for evidence in actual numbers to support the view that the company is stepping up a gear. The very high pe leaves no room for disapointment.

Large trades reported 418k, 250k, 240k, 195k, 45k @ 147.50... interesting before the AGM.

We may get a holdings RNS after these. Hopefully and finally that large seller is gone.

Volume at the moment 1.2m.

Think I'll hold fire before my purchase and try and gauge the support level here. RichJP - I'm not sure how to message you - I have looked everywhere on this app and there doesn't seem to be a function to do so. Any ideas?
