this page: hxxps://www.oslobors.no/ob_eng/markedsaktivitet/#/details/GDG01%20PRO.ABM/data also lists bonds outstanding as '0'. I take 'outstanding' to mean 'in issue, with full repayment of coupon to come at a later date'. Asagi (short GDG)

J Yes but you are always negative, do you think in the banking crisis in 2008 all the boxes were ticked? I do not hold here.

Asagi, I'm not convinced. The PDF linked to on this page here: Http://www.newsweb.no/newsweb/search.do?messageId=439083 Suggests that, as at yesterday's date, no proposal had been received by the trustee. There's a format for how these things work. There's a process that you expect the company and the bond trustee to follow. That involves negotiations with bondholders, putting a proposal to a formal meeting of the bondholders, voting, etc... Personally, if I were the bondholders, I wouldn't agree to it. Where's their incentive? What will happen to their security if they wait? Nothing points to them waiting, everything points to them acting now. JakNife

from this page: hxxps://www.oslobors.no/ob_eng/markedsaktivitet/#/details/GDG01%20PRO.ABM/overview it does look indeed as if Green Dragon Gas has successfully extended the maturity date of its bond to 20th November 2018. Asagi (short GDG)

Oslo Bourse confirms that Green Dragon has defaulted but the maturity date has been extended. To when I don't know but from this page: hxxps://www.oslobors.no/ob_eng/markedsaktivitet/#/details/GDG01%20PRO.ABM/overview it looks like it could be November 24th. Asagi (short GDG)

Why should they be lower based on this am's RNS? Reading between the lines you might infer a problem (*) from the RNS but otherwise it's not explicitly bad news is it? (*) The fact that they're still discussing an inter-creditor agreement between the two bond holders suggests that there is some sort of disagreement between them as to the repayment priority, ie which group of bondholders should get repaid first.

Maybe time to short was 275p, those that did have possibly closed at 60p, hence the chart basing.

Yes that was the one. I was lured in by double 6 (Colin Scar) at the time. That was my quickest ever £500 loss.

Northern Lynx? You mean the company that was part of a boiler room scam, was delisted from AIM and has since been placed into liquidation?

You can make a fortune shorting the ones JN deramps. I remember Northern Lynx. JN pointed that one out and I lost my entire investment on the day I put my money in. JN is always right in the end. Lesson learnt. However I think Green Dragon will still function under new ownership if they go bust. Therefore Greka Drilling will keep on getting paid for their contracts with Green Dragon.

JackNife. A great investment for you is Greka Drilling. Take a look as they just keep on getting new contracts all the time.

srpactive, They didn't have the time and they haven't done what they said that they would do. They've extended the maturities with the existing bondholders. The debt extension confirms that (a) they don't have the money to repay the bonds, (b) despite their comments to the contrary, they can't readily sell assets to raise the funds, and (c) they were telling porkie pies about being able to find a bank to refinance the bonds and instead are having to pay quite exorbitant interest charges. This is a classic kicking the can down the road scenario. The company is obviously bust but now we have to wait another year to be told that. JakNife

J I thought you said they would not have the time to do so, but as you mentioned they have. Does it not worry you that you got it completely wrong if it was you that is. Just asking.

Really? Doesn't the refinancing of their $100m bond and $50m convertible worry you? They don't appear to have the funds to pay them. JakNife

It's Greka Drilling everyone needs to buy. They go up on every single 1k buy or more. Long term they are the best oil play.
